Bungie's X06 Announcements
Bungie has announced two new projects today at X06. The first is a partnership with [i]Peter Jackson [/i]and his talented crew to bring you another chapter in the Halo Universe. The second is [i]Halo Wars[/i], a real-time strategy game being developed by [i]Ensemble Studios[/i]. Get the scoop in the full story.

Actually if i am correct, Halo started out as an RTS but switched to FPS when the project was in very early stages. So it's not like bungie just said to themselves, let's go out and steal someone elses idea. [Edited on 9/27/2006]

I have and account and my brother has account with maximum amount of friends. About 85% of them don't play Halo 2 anymore. I goto Halo on the computer, and my friends on XFire don't play anymore. Seriously, I'm not excited. I rather see Myth on the XBL Arcade then Halo Wars. Halo Wars is mediocre idea, unlike Myth, which is the superior idea! Myth > Halo RTS.

Wait, wasn't Halo originally going to be a RTS? Then they decided to change it into a 3rd person shooter, then, finally, a 1st person shooter? Looks like they're doing what they originally wanted to do, which should ensure that it'll be pretty good.

I trust ensemble studios with this project because they made my favorite rts ever. Age of Empires.

I was depritly worryed about it untill i heard it was form the makers of Age Of Empires. It's very diffricult to make a RTS on a console. Beyond that..... OMFG! Thats assome!

OMG, ES is making Halo RTS! I love the Age of Empires 3, and series and an active member in aoe3. ES makes good RTS games [Edited on 9/27/2006]
