It's like people just completely disregarded design. Or we made a very tough shift from classic looking cars to more aerodynamic cars.

1 ReplyBecause they're from the 80s and 90s. They weren't ugly back then.

3 RepliesEdited by Obi Wan Stevobi: 5/14/2013 9:20:33 PMlol, have you seen the clothes, hair, and cell phones from the 80s/early 90s? I have a picture of me when I was 8 with a mullet with hockey sticks shaved into the sideburns, while wearing a neon zubaz outfit. Everything from that decade looked retarded.
-
5 RepliesI actaully thought the 90's had some decent looking cars, I'll agree with you on the 80's though. Also Cars from the 90's are pretty good long term wise, just look at all the old Toyota Camrys and Honda Civics.
-
I like 90s cars.

Say that to this sexy beast.

80's were worse because the 80's were also the time when emissions started getting important (first catalytic convertors were late 70s) and gas mileage became more important in regulations. At least in the '90s horsepower tried to make something of a comeback.

5 RepliesEdited by Uberdawg: 5/14/2013 1:22:53 PMI don't believe all of them were ugly, but the 1980s were probably the nadir of car styles. Look at that Mustang. Do any of you guys think that thing is cool compared with almost any other model of Mustang? Those early 90s trucks were well-built fellows, though. All three of the major American models in 1994 or so were better looking than today's trucks IMO.
-
I agree. I didn't like the lambos from those years, I didn't like the mustangs, I didn't like any of those cars. But dat FireBird. 60's, 70's, and 2005-present are pretty much where my favorite car designs originate from.
-
Depending on the color the Corvette stingray doesn't look that bad to me.
-
A year has passed and I'm still in love with the early 90's Mustang GT.
-
Posted by: CamCamm 80's yeah but the early 90's model of the Mustang GT... is ugly.
Fixed
-
Why are so many cars from the 70s and 2000s ugly?
-
Because it's the 80's and 90's
-
I'll just list some. Toyota MR2 Toyota Supra MK2-4 Toyota Celica Subaru Impreza Mitsubishi EVO Porsche 944 Mazda RX-7 Camaro's Firebird's Ferrari F40 Z cars and more.

Edited by Oneironaut: 5/14/2013 1:32:40 PMBecause you have an opinion (an opinion I disagree with) one that's based upon generalizations of the average car from those decades. Damn it all, I really need to pay more attention to time stamps... I don't like helping threads come back to life by necro bumping.
