Any opinions on it from the trailer? I personally think it looks awesome. I've watched the trailer a couple of times. I haven't played the last 3 games but this one looks kinda interesting.
Posted by: Melkorpwn Assassin's Creed has been going downhill fast for the past two games, so it's unlikely that I'll get this one.
If I remember correctly, Brotherhood and Revelations were made by a different team than AC1 and AC2. AC3 was actually started right after AC2, but Brotherhood and Revelations were essentially released as filler for the series until AC3. That's why both Brotherhood and Revelations had so little change from each other, and that's why gameplay was poorly approached. Throwing knives became useless in Brotherhood with the crossbow. But if you look at the ranged weapons in AC3, the pistols will probably be loud but one-shot kill, while the bow will probably be silent but two-shot kill. [Edited on 05.14.2012 2:32 PM PDT]
Posted by: MercifulPhoenix I'm looking forward to it. As much as I enjoyed the setting of Ezio's trilogy, and that character, I'm glad they're moving onto a new place and time. From what I've seen and heard about the game, it has great promise. Unlike a fair few people, I've never become bored of the games, and don't think that it has gone downhill. I do agree that the amount of time between production of the games in the Ezio trilogy has seemed too short, and there isn't a huge amount of fresh ideas from one until the next; but the amount of time that has been spent developing this new game so far is encouraging, as is the footage from game and the promises about the new engine.
This

Spoiler america wins

It's gonna be awesome. I heard there could be a couple thousand AI's on screen in HD at once.
-
I preordered this already... I bought revelations as well- But I am not able to get myself to finish the single player (and that's what I was the most excited about ironically). Same with BF3 campaign. ):

Been waiting since 2009 for this, far too long. But they just had to make it coincide with 2012. I was also looking for a French Revolution setting, but I can settle for the American one since the frontier gameplay will bring a welcome change from the same buildings we've been scaling since AC.

I actually loved all of the previous games, so I'm super stoked for this one.

But those two killed the series for me.
Meh. It just seems illogical. 3 times the effort has gone into this game + a new engine. They can't really be compared in terms of quality.
Posted by: Adamcunn This one certainly looks like it's going to be amazing. I'll definitely be getting it.
I enjoy how Conner's Athleticism matches his age..........unlike Ezio.
-
The free running and combat look a lot more fluid than in previous installments. I'm a big fan of Assassin's Creed anyway, but it looks awesome overall.
-
I have always been a Halo guy (I think) but I don't know why my older brother LOVES with a passion Assasins Creed and games that play like it.

Looks awesome, only game I'm looking forward to this year.

Mweh. I loved ACI, but I strongly dislike the rest of the games. They should focus on more realism-things instead of cool moves and tapping 'X'. [Edited on 05.14.2012 1:22 PM PDT]
