Bungie Weekly Update
Huge update this week, starting with the first ever Bungie Podcast and including real audio from Halo 3. Download it! Listen to it! We also premiere the final Halo 3 logo and debut In-Fusio's Halo Mobile Portal for cellphones. Halo music ringtones are finally here!

Honestly, I really enjoyed pretty much everything about the podcast. I got bored in the middle a little bit, but I guess that to be expected from an audio file. I really enjyed the beginning and the end, althought I wish the Waaaaambulance was longer, instead of three letters. I'd like a Video podcast too, but for the Halo 3 stuff, just censor it, or show Fankie's head or something. It would take A LOT longer if the podcast was video though.

Very cool update, especially the podcast format... Just curious, but is there some kind of prize for guessing the mystery sound? A pat on the back perhaps? Cookies? All in all I only have one suggestion: more of the waaahhmbulance!

the podcast was top notch and very entertaining. im kind of new to this whole "podcast" thingy but you guys did a good job. i liked the mystery sound from halo 3, bring that back. and the interviews are very well done. keep up the good work!!!! (feel free to have more halo 3 news)

Great update far better than usual and i think i may have a good idea on what that juicy update is but im not gunna say becuase guessing is guessing and its proboloy hopless. Love the podcasting. Keep it up. All i can say is aslong as u keep up the little bits from halo 3 in there i think the podcast could reach popularity number one:) Also stick it on itunes its alot better and its easier for me to keep track of episodes i missed etc. if i go away etc. Thanx for your time.

I'm going to have to say that I like both the logo and the podcast, but the podcast is too long. I just can't sit for an hour (even if split into parts) LISTENING to people talking. i could probably watch if it were a vidcast, especially if there was beer involved *cough* diggnation *cough* just my thoughts

OK, I have a couple of questions to pose to Bungie while listening to the 'cast (they may have been posted already, but, seriously, I don't have time to read 12 pages of posts). First, you talk much about Halo 2 Vista, but is there ever going to be a Mac version? It's this kinda thing that perpetrates the rumor that Macs suck for gaming. Second, you mentioned the impossibility of KB/M gamers playing alongside joypad gamers, but then immediately said that it's just a matter of preference. I know people who've connected mice to their Xboxen and controllers to their compys, and none have had any issues worth mentioning to me. So what's the actual problem here?

For future podcasts, please continue doing staff interviews. I love that type of thing. Please try to get a programmer to talk about some technical aspects of the game and hardware, such as if you guys are going to use predicated tiling and the eDRAM to get "free" 4X antialiasing. This is a significant part of the 360's hardware architecture (and was highly touted by MS PR), but so far none of the released 360 games have used it (as far as I know). Also, I loved the staff placeholder voice out-takes. Some of those guys made me laugh.

Nice update Frankie. :) Too bad I didn't have this Halo 3 Logo yesterday when I was finishing my signature in The GIMP. Oh well, you never have enough GIMP Signatures, right? I'm going to get to work right away on one using this logo and possibly some other Halo 3 renders... BTW, this image will be [i]way[/i] easier to cut out than the last one I used. Oh, I'm also enjoying my new Logo Wallpaper as I type this. :)

You asked for feedback so here is my feedback. First of all I really enjoyed it. Now on with my pro's and con's. PRO's It was great to hear about Halo 2's matchmaking playlist updates and what is going to happen soon. I really was surprised to hear that Marty is the creator of the Flinstone's Jingle and the Mr. Clean jingle. That gave me a silly grin and an unexpected chuckle. I would love to hear how his transition into gaming came about. The mystery noise was a very nice addition and I hope it is something that continues throughout the podcasts until Halo 3 is released. The updates on Halo 2 Vista were a nice, I enjoyed hearing how the game is being touched up for higher resolutions and to know that Bungie while not making the port still has its hands in it's creation. The snippets from the Bungie staff were hilarious as well, its funny to hear them trying to sound like the characters/voice actors. Do some more of the WHAAAAAAmulance stuff as well, MY .02....but have people make up voices and sound like it's a call in complaint. In other words tear into them some more. I know not a lot will be revealed until the game date is set and until we get closer to the release date. I like the mystery noises and vauge explinations of the Halo 3 humpday for example and would like to see that tradition continue. Here are some things I would like to see added to the podcast................ CON's/Suggestions MY . 02 of course.................. I would like to hear more news updates about the movie, even if it is to say there is no new news. I would like to hear info about the novel, or future novels as well, even if its to say nothing new is on the horizon. A monthly touch on new toys, shirts etc heading to the b.net store or other vendors. A rant from a bungie employee, (not an interview, just a rant) with new people each week. 30 seconds or so would be great, about anything really, work conditions, someone playing jokes, etc. A blurb about me. I am not terribly active on the forums, there are numerous reasons which would take too long to explain. But I am checking this site and a few other impoortant ones everyday for b.net news and 360 news. I look forwards to the weekly updates and have since they first started. So you could call me a long long time reader.

Best fracing update I've ever seen you guys put out! I loved the podcast (3rd time listening to it right now). FIrstly, your opening song is so ghetto! Funny as hell but ghetto none the less! My only complaint is your censorship of the "f**k" word & related. Halo is a MATURE game, we all know the word well. Halo 2's LEGENDARY mode inspired more usage of the word than anything & everything in history, trust me. Stop censoring the word! Fracers! I would love to hear some more emails from cheaters asking they be unbanned. I got so many laughs from that! Please don't shorten the podcasts either! In fact, make them exactly 60 minutes! 60 minutes of entertainment! By the way, the mystery sound... I theorize it's something to do with the Covenant. Maybe a Wraith... only time will tell! Keep up w/ the PODCASTS! They are totally awsome! EXCELLENT UPDATE, BUNGIE-BOYS! By the way, talk about the Halo Movie a little bit. :)

Good update, Podcast is a great Idea, BUT, Please cease with all the pointless banter in the beginning of the cast. I believe I speak for the majority of people when I say we just fast forward to the good stuff ( Mystery sound, outtakes, and of course the waaaaaaaaaaambulance). Keep up the great work and I can't wait to download the ringtones to my RAZR.

That was a great Pod-cast... especially the Waaahmblulance part. I haven't laughed so hard in a while. Especially the one about the Standbyer.
