Bungie Weekly Update
Huge update this week, starting with the first ever Bungie Podcast and including real audio from Halo 3. Download it! Listen to it! We also premiere the final Halo 3 logo and debut In-Fusio's Halo Mobile Portal for cellphones. Halo music ringtones are finally here!

The podcast highs and lows: Highs: The theme tune, improvisation, news, live anywhere and waaaahmbulace parts. Lows: The middle part, I just couldn't keep concentrated. Oh and I really hope you will hire actors for the voice parts, because they sounded terrible. Just the worst acting ever! Otherwise, I loved it. Can't wait for the next one. ;) [Edited on 9/26/2006]

Most of the update was cool. The podcast was all right, some GREAT info, cool sounds. Here's my comments on the yawntacular parts: 1. It could be a half-hour. An hour is just too much for a podcast, IMHO. 2. Why does almost every podcast start with 2 dudes talking in overly mellow voices and it takes them five minutes to get to any info beyond "Hey what's up. I'm X, and we'll be bringing you Y." 3. Cowbell jokes should have died long ago with SNL's sense of humor (circa 1983.) I only list the complaints but overall the podcast was good stuff! Thanks!

agreed the volume in the update desprately needs normalization almost everything is hard to hear except the main host.

I enjoyed the slice of Bungie work and life you provided in the audio update. My one complaint would be that the intermediate music was too loud, which made understanding speech too difficult. The length is fine, but please cut the volume back so that the speech of the update is readily comprehensible.

Although I often read the weakly update, this is my first post in the forums. I heard about the new "podcast" from xbox360fanboy and was excited to come check it out. My excitement soon faded as I realized that there is no bungie podcast. There's some audio clip posted on the site, but I can't see any way to subscribe to the so called "podcast" and I can't find it in itunes or any other podcasting client for that matter. A podcast is a podcast because it's a media file enclosed in RSS. If it's not using RSS to let people subscribe to it, then it's not a podcast. What you've got is a link to an audio file; not a podcast. Sorry to be a terd.

THe past couple of days, I have been getting modded on old maps like burial mounds and ascension, has anyone else experienced this and is Bungie doing anything to stop it from getting popular? If people start modding on old maps as well, the entire halo community is going to take a huge hit in numbers.

What's this, Frankie? What happened to your voice? Where's the gruff heavy tone? Where's the proud moment you belted out the lines of Flower of Scotland with drunk abandon? Where's the Scottish accent...? You have made many of your fellow countymen dissapointed. We were all hoping to hear the Edinburgh accent cut a swathe through the sound waves with it's unhinged boisterousness. But our waiting was all for not. Next time, Frankie; next time, you will. I think all the logo needs to be fixed is to have the darker color on bottom using just a more of a dark blue color, and the lighter color on top, same as halo texts. I like the announcer. Keep waaabulance the same length, people dont seem to realize you have to save it for other podcasts in the future.

Thanks a lot Bungie! Now I have the Flintstone Kids Vitamin tune stuck in my head repeating over and over and over and over again. Hehehe :P The whambulance was hilarious! And I loved the Sergeant Johnson audio . . . the reason he doesn't stop for directions. Hahaha :P [Edited on 9/25/2006]
