Has Sony won the console war?

Honestly, unless Halo 4 is amazingly awesome, I can't see any reason to recommend the 720 to anyone. PS3 has action adventure on a lock, it has better fighters, it has exclusive shooters, and now it has smash brothers, the only thing really keeping Nintendo in the race in my eyes.

In the end they gained quite a bit of money off of Xbox and Xbox live.

Sony was never behind. I only bought my scambox £360 for Halo, it has no other real memorable exclusives, and only 2 consoles, and the first one was only popular because of Halo. Compare that to the PS1 and PS2, loads of memorable games. There was a reason why the PS2 was thrashing the Xbox before Halo CE came out, and Sony has brought these great games of the past to PSN, and you dont have to disconnect from PSN to play them. Playstation > Xbox If Halo was on PS3 then I would sell my scambox

Halo 4 isn't on the 720. Anyway, could be. The PS2 won out of the Xbox in sales and quality, the 360 beat the PS3. Time for Sony to come back.

Last year, it was profitable to the tune of over a billion dollars. I.e., What the hell are you talking about? Also, the XBox 360 has outsold both the Wii and the PS3 in monthly sales for a long time time now. Not sure how the release of a mediocre kid's game makes Sony the winner. [/quote]You realise Microsoft lose money on every Xbox sold? They've been losing money on Xbox since 2005. It's not the consoles themselves that make the money for microsoft. If they are going to drop their console department it won't be for a long, long time.

On consoles it is where people get on and play around on Halo, Battlefield, Call of duty, Gears of war . Where they don't care about K/d but they still play the game for fun. Even thought they are not hardcore, I don't think they would settle for giving up a console after playing with all of those features to downgrade to playing flash games, if that makes any sense.
