Has Sony won the console war?

Honestly, unless Halo 4 is amazingly awesome, I can't see any reason to recommend the 720 to anyone. PS3 has action adventure on a lock, it has better fighters, it has exclusive shooters, and now it has smash brothers, the only thing really keeping Nintendo in the race in my eyes.

And the joysticks are level to one another, whereas on XBox 360, you have to raise your left thumb up to reach the other one which is as uncomfortable as -blam!-. And on PS3, it's easier to use the D-Pad because the left, right, up down buttons are seperate, whereas on XBox 360, they're together, so it's [i] incredibly [/i] difficult to use it without accidentally going in the wrong direction and on PS3 the joysticks don't have those weird bumps on the joysticks that cause physical pain whilst using them. For all these reasons, plus the fact that the PS3 controllers have [i] rechargable [/i] rather than [i] disposable [/i] batteries make them far superior to the XBox 360 controllers very many ways. Why people still insist that the XBox 360 controller is best is beyond me and I've got both XBox 360, [b] AND [/b] PS3, so I know what I'm on about... [Edited on 04.28.2012 4:13 AM PDT]

Sony has not even come close to winning the 'console war'. I consider the winner of the console war the leader in sales, and that is, and has been for over a year, xbox. And guess what? If the next xbox releases first, it is very likely it will win again. A smart move for Microsoft would be to make their next console's online play free, as that is one of the only advantages PS3 has over xbox. And don't give me that bull crap that PS3 has more exclusives. They are all crap, aside from Little Big Planet.

The 360 and Playstation controllers are way to different for one to be modeled after another. Just look at the 360's d-pad, shoulder buttons, analog stick locations, etc. and compare to the Playstation controller.

It hasnt changed much since the PS1 days for a reason.[/quote] I hate the small size and the positioning of the thumbsticks. I would much rather have the left thumbstick higher on the controller like the Xbox controller. Also, I really dislike the fact that on PS3 you click a button to shoot and pull a trigger to throw grenades and such in FPS games. It feels like it should be opposite.

In my personal opinion, the console war was a tie. With the Wii starting out strong then its popularity started to die down. The Xbox 360 had more exclusives than PS3 at first but then surprisingly the PS3 actually started getting some decent games to play on it towards the end. The whole thing about the console war is stupid. Each console is good in its own ways. The wii was fun for the whole family. The Xbox and PS3 both had great games and were fun for the hardcore gamers. The Xbox was great social wise for its online while the PS3 was free and let you do what you bought it for (to play games with others.) Overall, the consoles in this generation were remarkably similar. With the Wii being the most distinct out of all of them really. Even then, the PS3 and Xbox started to experiment with motion controls. To say any side won is stupid and anyone who declares one greater than the others is nothing short of a fanboy.

Haha xbox fanboys, good stuff. Sony has lots of quality developers lined up so you get awesome exclusive games. Microsoft is focusing more on kinect so you get crappy dancing games aimed at childen. Why you would support Microsoft on this fact alone (ignoring all the other superior aspects of PS3) is just ignorance in its purest form.

I love Sony's exclusives, but it is becoming.. irritating that Sony has recently took it upon itself to blatantly rip off of Nintendo's characteristic franchises. First LBP Karting, now this? Does Sony have no shame? Perhaps if the project was in the hands of Sony's best i could truly get behind the title, but instead it's in the hands of a new, "independent developer" (with guidance of Sony of course) - and what i've seen so far just looked simply [i]soulless[/i]. I don't think you understand, the Xbox 360 sold better than the PS3. [url=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_best-selling_game_consoles]Proof[/url] Also, I don't care what you say, the PS or PS2 are not the PS3. We are comparing what is happening now, not what happened in the past. In this current generation, the Xbox 360 is selling more than the PS3. But I guess that means that the PS3 is the better console. Side note: The Wii is #1 in sales for this generation. People obviously play it.

The amount of exclusives the ps3 has been getting for years leaves xbox with no games. Owner of all consoles I can say xbox only few games such as halo,gears, forza are quality. While ps3 has tonnes more exclusives. Xbots get off ms dicks n realise ur console had been left without no new ips, no exclusives just the same three games above.

They certainly won the copy and paste war. Honestly, when I started watching a video of the game I thought it was super smash bros. All this really shows is Sony trying to copy another companies success with the hope of bolstering their lacklustre first party lineup.
