Has Sony won the console war?

Honestly, unless Halo 4 is amazingly awesome, I can't see any reason to recommend the 720 to anyone. PS3 has action adventure on a lock, it has better fighters, it has exclusive shooters, and now it has smash brothers, the only thing really keeping Nintendo in the race in my eyes.

Any console war "victor" at this point is winning essentially nothing, because all consoles of this generation are still lacking a lot of features that would make them actually enjoyable to play. I feel that they're all gimped in some fashion or another, and are just trying to hike each other up to each others' level, which is still far behind the level consoles should be at from a gamer's perspective. Of course, from the platform owners' perspective, they're winning quite a lot in terms of profit if they get in the lead, but if the recent reported profit losses are any indication of what it means to be in the lead of this "console war," then they're really not winning much of anything at all. Well, the RRoD has no exclusives, it's automatically out. The Wii was an interesting experiment that has a few good games going for it, but any modern PC can easily emulate it and it will run better than the real deal. It's hard to give it too much credit when the same product is outperformed elsewhere. I'd have to give it to the PS3, if only because of its exclusives and its ass-backwards hardware that can't be emulated.
