4chan, Reddit, or 9gag?
Hello people. I want to know which website you guys like more than the others and why you like them. Personally, I visit Reddit more than the other websites but I cannot really determine whether or not I enjoy visiting Reddit more than 4chan or 9gag. So Flood, which website do you prefer?

They can inly really all be compared in terms of funny OC. 4chan wins in that sense.

I don't know why it's so unpopular throughout the nerd-net, but I love 9gag. There are actually things which are funny, unlike 4chan and reddit, where they post nothing but unfunny junk.

4chan: Where everything good and evil comes from. The source of most internet culture. Reddit: Filters 4chan to spread the good stuff. 9gag: -blam!-s and reposts -blam!- forever. Users are out-of-touch.

Basically, some random guy shot two people, including a cop. Someone else (who probably lived nearby) was able to find a stream of the police dispatcher and started posting on /b, claiming to be the shooter. The cops surrounded the house, and the poster claimed that he had rigged the place with explosives and had a gasmask. Somehow, FOX news ended up finding the thread on /b and started reporting about it, even printing up the thread and showing it to the camera. The police were scared of the explosives and then brought in SWAT, as well as an APC. It got really hilarious when people started calling the guy "Jimmy Rustle" and posting the [url=http://knowyourmeme.com/memes/that-really-rustled-my-jimmies]standard gorilla picture[/url]. On national TV, the newcaster said that "Jimmy Rustles has a gorila fetish" I guess the idiots at FOX didn't realize that /b isn't exactly a reliable source of information. The threads about this, as well as watching the live feed was pretty damn entertaining. Stuff like that doesn't happen on Reddit or 9GAG [Edited on 04.26.2012 9:12 PM PDT]

In case you guys don't know: 4Chan: Image board, origin of many memes, also a community with nasty trolls, and images. If you see dead people and blue waffle don't be suprised. Not a complete pisshole though. Reddit: Social media site. Everything divided into "subreddits" which are large, or small individual communities. Just about any existant topic has a subreddit, anyone can create a subreddit and there are over 60,000 of them. People submit news and images in hopes of getting it to the "front page", to get to it you must earn karma, it is earned when any user upvotes it. Meaning they like it. They can also downvote meaning they dislike it. If anyone ever tells you to go the the subreddit spacedicks, don't. The name is completely irrelevant. It is actually a place where people submit the darkest things, whether it's dead people, skinned animals, nasty injuries, etc. Reddit has a very socialist-like community. If you say you are religious, republican, etc, you will likely get flamed. Be careful. 9gag: Don't know much about these guys, just that it is a site where people submit things (often stolen from reddit and other sites), and share them. Hated very strongly by both 4chan and reddit. In fact, there were a series of "wars" where 4Chan users attacked 9gag by submitting nasty pictures in large quantities like dead people, gore, etc. They also had hackers take down the site several times. TL;DR: 4Chan: Image board filled with trolls Reddit: Social Media site 9gag: Image board that is hated by much of the internet Hope it helps [Edited on 04.26.2012 9:12 PM PDT]
