Most of the kids at my school that wear anything related to gaming like a Halo hoodie or a Left 4 Dead t-shirt get talked down on. Most of them are kind of weird or no one really knows them so that doesn't help the image. I don't care for it but I would never wear anything game related like a Mass Effect hoodie or anything at all.
The only exception to gaming related clothes I would wear is a plain black t shirt with a Gears of War omen on it. Not because I like the game but because I like how it looks it seems to be my style and since my friends aren't hardcore gamers and the only game big in between them is Gears of War they would think it's pretty cool / not care.
Honestly I know most people don't care what other people think of them so I understand if I was into game clothing I wouldn't care about people laughing behind my back as long as I was happy.
So what do you think?
Is it begging to be laughed at?
Is it just something no one would care about?
Is it something people give compliments on?

It looks stupid about 99% of the time.

People can wear whatever they want, as long as it's within reason.

I'd wear this I might even consider wearing it to school over my element and quicksilver shirts but... [Edited on 04.09.2012 5:34 AM PDT]

My friend who knows I love Mass Effect 3 had to call me yesterday because while he was in Walmart he spotted a kid wearing a ME3 shirt and he said his entire face was covered in acne and he was super fat. My friend couldn't stop laughing about it.
-
Wouldn't be caught dead in it.
-
I don't care. I have a couple Bungie shirts and a Mass Effect shirt.
-
I wear my Mass Effect, Portal and Assassin's Creed shirts to school all the time. Most people just don't recognize them, but the ones that do I usually get complements from. My schools not that bad really. Accepting. I once saw a guy get a high five from someone over his Rarity t-shirt.

I like to wear them.
-
I have a few gaming clothes but not many. Out of the few, the Gears of War 3 OG Slick shirt is probably the one I actually wear in public the most compared to my other gaming clothes. It fits my style of clothing and I have received a few compliments from it. It doesn't matter what you where as long as you make yourself look presentable. Having confidence is a plus too.
-
Eh, I don't judge people, if they like gamer clothing then I say go for it and rock that -blam!-. I personally don't wear any gamer stuff just because I get called a nerd enough by all my friends, I don't feel like giving them any more ammunition.
-
I got a few Ferrari shirts. People always look at me, and are like "Why do you wear a Ferrari shirt." People are sooooo retarded. [Edited on 04.09.2012 4:05 AM PDT]

If it is actually a cool shirt/game, I'll give them a compliment. If its something dumb, like an arrow to the knee shirt, I'll laugh about it with my friends. I should have a Halo 2 hoodie around my house somewhere....
-
I'm 29, so wearing gaming shirts seems a bit weird. Then again, my friends think it's weird if I wear anything but my heavy metal shirts, which are just as geeky I guess. Meh. If my girlfriend ever tells me to stop wearing them I would. Until that day though... [Edited on 04.09.2012 4:01 AM PDT]

I would wear gamer t-shirts that non-gamers can appreciate. Look at the burn bright t-shirt for example. Most Halo and Bungie fans will recognise this insignia, but any non-gamers can still like it because it's a cool piece of artwork.
-
OP is trying to fit in with the "cool kids." Wear what you want.
-
If i see someone wearing gaming clothing, yeah, i'll look at them and think the generic gamer/nerd stereotypes. I guess that comes from their general appearance as well though.
Posted by: Ein Soph Aur I'm indifferent.
This, I just don't care what other people think of me if I decide to wear a piece of clothing that is gaming related.
-
Own several halo shirts, wear them on occasion.
-
You've got to expect to potentially viewed as a nerd if you wear them! I like my Halo shirt, but I'd only wear it in the right situation!
-
I have 6 Firefly t-shirts, 3 Halo t-shirts, a Captain Hammer t-shirt, a Scott Pilgrim t-shirt and a few other things. Do I care what people think? No. Do I think that they are best suited to certain occasions rather than other ones? Yes.
-
I wear my halo reach shirt when I go out sometimes. Wish I had a Burn Bright Burn Blue tee though.

I've MADE several game shirts, so yes I do like and wear them. It helps distinguish your characteristics without having to say a word.

Too nerdy for a person of my age.
-
I wear Halo clothing quite often. I even have a pair of ODST and UNSC dogtags.
