Paintball Scenario Game Ideas.

So I work at a Paintball field and well for some reason my boss asked me to set up and map out a Scenario event that will be held in September. He is giving me one month to get everything planned out so he can then start marketing it. I don't really understand why he is making me set it all up and run the event. I can't even come up with a name to call it. However, I have come up with a couple ideas just not enough to last for 5 hours. So Flood, any ideas on some games/objectives for the event? Try to keep them reasonable. We don't have a 10 story building for one team to rappel down from. We have roughly 30 acres and will most likely get around 250 to 300 players. Edit: The game will have 3 equally balanced teams. [Edited on 03.18.2012 11:18 PM PDT]

 • Hmmm... terminator rules(headshots or center mass) Except, everyone starts with the same amount of ammo(let's say 100 in the hopper and one or two tubes for refilling). If you die, you have to drop your ammo tube. Free for all. :P

 •
Posted by: Osiris918
Posted by: Mendeciant Bias I'm not sure what you call this, and im not even sure if its scenario, but I will give it a shot: Lets say, you have...50 people attending your event. (may be more, may be less, you can adjust it to suit you.) In this game, team 1 will have 10 people, team 2 will have 20, and team 3, 20. Each time team 1 shoots a member of either team 2 or 3, they must swap out colors for team 1's color, until there is no one left. Everyime a member of team 1 gets shot, they must sit out a predetermined time. Sounds cool amirite?
So..Zombies with paintball guns. I like it!
Replace the paintball guns with bats and stun batons and we have something going here!

 •
Posted by: Elite_Buddy VIP-Scavenger Hunt hybrid? 2 teams could have 3 or 4 VIPs who they need to protect. The VIPs are moved around the playing area, and they have to complete challenges around the place. Only a VIP can complete the challenge. Their teammates have to protect them. Each challenge completed (obviously they'd have to be tricky, and take a long time) earns the team a point or two. Another team could be "defenders", their goal being to take out the other team's VIPs. They recieve points (3?) for taking out the other team's VIPs. Basically, Team 1: 3 or 4 VIPs. VIPs complete objectives, team mates protect VIPs. Can take out Team 2 and 3. Receives points for completing challenges.Receives no points for eliminating Team 2 VIPs. Team 2: 3 or 4 VIPs. Must hunt Team 1 and 2. Earns points for taking out Team 1 and 2 VIPs. Can take out Team 1 and 2. How to win: Earn the most points.
I'll make a note of that one as well. Sounds interesting. :)

 •
Posted by: Osiris918
Posted by: deadlyfluffball Okay I got one. It would be called invasion, one team would get gas masks, stun batons, of course paintball pistols, and would be accompanied by a large three legged alien robot that shoots lasers. Whoever is not stunned and or killed by the end wins. Then dies from getting stomped on by the large tripedal alien cyborg.
We will a couple tanks and F-16s standing by encase the alien robot decides to rebel.
Nah, just throw it the winner of the opposing teams limbs. They will suffice.

 •
Posted by: petitminou 3 teams of a hundred? Really?
Well 2 teams usually end up in a stalemate. A 3rd team would ensure that each team is fighting on 2 fronts instead of one and the geography and size of the land isn't enough to support more than 3.

Which of course will just be for show since the other team has gas masks, but whatever. [Edited on 03.18.2012 11:24 PM PDT]

 •
Posted by: petitminou
Posted by: petitminou Hmmm...a scavenger hunt of some sort? Combine the clues and directions of a scavenger hunt with paintball guns. =)
Break it up into teams, and give each team member a sheet with the same clues on it. Every team gets a different set of clues. If you are killed, you have to drop the sheet on that spot. The team who acquires the most "loot" wins. Idk, I'm just trying to think outside the box here.
Yeah I was actually thinking of something like that as a side objective. And the player who solves a puzzle or clue or something gets a free bag of 500 paintballs. Something like that.

 •
Posted by: MilitaryTheorist Guerilla war. One team is composed of 270 players. The other is composed of 30.
They 30 players would have a great time with a target rich environment..but the 270 wouldn't because they would have to spend time looking for them. Wouldn't be enough fighting going on. So ideas like that really don't work.

 •
Posted by: deadlyfluffball
Posted by: Osiris918
Posted by: deadlyfluffball You could call it "No mans land". Then you could dig trenches and have guys at the edges guarding flags, then there would be mortar sling shot things that have paint filled balloons in them. The teams would have to run through the no mans to the other side and capture the flag and bring it back. Also you should set up some kind of cover in some sections of the non-trench areas just to make it a little easier for advancing squads.
We really don't have a large empty field to dig trenches in, everything is pretty wooded or has bunkers on it, and we don't really want to destroy the fields to make trenches for one scenario game...We gotta have out fields for the weekends too for rec play.
You could call it, woodland massacre. One team would have to make a treehouse out of the opposing teams players. The first team to finish wins.
Rofl. Well I also thought of making a large bridge going over a large whole that has rattle snakes in it and have players fight for control of the bridge. Physical contact would be allowed of course.

 •
Posted by: The Sacramentum Special ops. Have a majority of players on one team, and a smaller amount on the SpecOps team. The big team is defending key objectives(a flag for example), and the SpecOps team needs to accomplish the objectives. Have each obj. assigned a score, and each cap/defend be worth that much. Award the winning team. Or, do a squad FFA. Assign everyone into small teams, then set them lose. Give objectives for prizes.
For the first thing you said, there would have to be some kind of cycle in who is chosen to be the Spec Ops team. Maybe last man on the team guarding the objective or if the Spec Ops team is eliminated, the ones who eliminated them.

 •
Posted by: MilitaryTheorist You ought to make an event centered around the events of black hawk down.
There is already a place 2 hours away that does a Black Hawk Down Scenario in April. Same people that do Oklahoma D-Day. They get about 800 players and have a ton of land for it. So we really need to do something different.
