The Betrayal Boot System in Halo 3

Let me ask a question... Have you ever been in the situation where you've killed your teammate by accident and been booted? and let me add that the very same game you yourself have been betrayed by a teammate but haven't been given the option to boot? I'm guessing this happens to many of you due to it happening plenty of times to me. What I'm asking is to someone please help me understand how this boot system works and why it has been put into effect.

  • I knwo what you mean. I've never been booted because i think for some reason the system knows when it's an accident or something. I've seen my teammates boot people who intentionally betray but most of mine are accidents or can be seen as accidents. Like if i it's usually something that is a grenade blast. which isnt much that can be done. However only reason i have betrayed is becasue they betrayed me forst.. especcially if i had just picked up the sniper or shotgun they were running to and i spwned in front of. I dont know how it works besides some way of knowing accidents and purpose betrayers that have had many offenses.
