Hi,
I'm playing Solo Lengendary, and I'm really stuck where I trip the second pulse generator and instantly get killed.
My health is very low, I can't find a health pack anywhere before activating the 2nd generator. As soon as I do, I'm instantly surrounded by Flood.
I've tried tossing a few grenades before setting off the generator, but that doesn't help.
I backed into it so I could run for the door, but still get nailed before I can move a few feet.
Seems there are some rocket launching Flood that just nail me instantly.
My banshee, which I parked outside is gone, so I can't fly back down and look around for health packs either.
Anyone have a tip to get past this part? (PLEASE, if you haven't played this solo legendary, you don't know how hard this part is, so don't offer advice)

"Zombles"?

I had this very problem earlier, and I kind of cheated to get through it; managed to get my Banshee in the corridor, so that held the Flood in there at bay. I took out the few zombles that spawn in the room using the narrow corridor as cover, then picked off the zombles behind the Banshee with shotgun blasts and grenades, taking care to stand back when they detonate, what with so many discarded ones littering the corridor and the Banshee being able to kill John by tapping his visor lightly.

^ Don't do that that is cheap,it disgusts me that they would add a skull making gameplay easier, those pigs in 343

Bandana, dude, use it more often. If not HCEA, then follow the steps above. But even w/Bandana this part is sometimes very challenging, due to the aforementioned rocket flood. [Edited on 03.10.2012 1:31 PM PST]

What I did was just go to the left or right of the entrance, on the higher structure, stand there, and the rocket launcher Flood would sometimes kill themselves. [Edited on 03.03.2012 10:40 PM PST]

What I did was back up into the generator, and when it activated, I ran up and to the right of the entrance. I tossed grenades before going over there, and then started throwing more grenades as I saw Flood. I also used my shotgun and other weapon (usually a plasma weapon or pistol) against the remaining Flood. Just remember to keep moving if there are a lot of Flood.

If you want a challenge, run to the very back of the room as soon as you step in the generator. No grenades, no backpedaling, just run.

Library was pretty fun on Legendary and so was Truth and R...

Dude its not that hard, I was just laying it on Legendary (PC) myself, just throw a couple nades in the door then back pedal pull out your shotgun and start umping led into those Flood.

Thanks!! I used a hybrid of your plan and one I came up with. One more effort of throwing a couple grenades, side stepping into the generator, then instead of heading FOR the door, I backtracked and while running backward used the shotty at on-coming Flood. Turned around and shotgunned the squids, and 3 more big floods were coming, and I took them out, and then the door!! WOW, I thought Truth & Reconciliation was rough, but that part was just NUTS! Thanks again everyone!

What are your weapons? Did you kill the initial enemies (Flood and Sentinels)? If you got a shotgun and grenades, you're in luck. There's a way to take out the Flood without doing any of that speedrunning stuff. Try this (I did it on Easy because I don't like doing things on Legendary anymore. I used to do a bunch of this stuff for CEA SLASO). Some tips for the initial encounters: -I included an irrelevant bit because you can use the Sentinel's death explosion to kill or damage Flood -try to shoot off the rocket arm of a rocket launcher Flood (you can do that with the Shotty. So you might want to aim to the left of them) -conserve grenades -make sure you kill all the infection forms Tips for the 2nd group: -the Flood near the generator will be unarmed so you can easily run to the hiding spot where I went

I would recommend moving away from the entrance door where they spawn to the other side of the pulse-generator room, and moving slowly around the side passage. Throw your grenades at one of the bends in order to remove some of the flood threat lurking in wait around the corner. The rocket launcher flood usually wait by the door where you have to exit (or at least for me anyway), so attempt to rebound a grenade where they are patrolling, or make a blind dash to the door after the rest of the flood move closer to the generator. These "rocket" flood tend to aim at 117's body, and not the ground, so it's important to strafe accordingly (which is obviously more difficult the closer you get to them, I know). Also, what are your primary and secondary weapons at the moment?
