Questions about the HALO: REACH BETA?

Help us, help Haiti! [EDIT] Please stop asking me what will be in the BETA, when it's coming out, can you customize your spartan; I don't know, I do NOT work at Bungie, contrary to the belief of most people who read this. Anyway, carry on. >Alright, I'm tired of seeing a new article every minute of, "Why didn't I get the BETA, I pre-ordered it!" Here's what you should know: + You get an invitation to the BETA for buying the game, NOT pre-ordering. + You will be able to download the BETA in the Spring of next year. + And the BETA will be downloadable from the Extras menu in ODST. [EDIT] + Also, there is NO confirmed release date. Just sometime in the Spring. >> Now please, stop posting stupid threads. There is something called GOOGLE you know. >>>[EDIT]<<< Since a few questions keep popping up, I thought I'd answer them. + The BETA has NO confirmed release date. + The game is an FPS. + There has not been any talk of how long the BETA will last. However, if it's like the Halo 3 BETA, expect it to last about 2-3 weeks. + 'New Intel' Is the extras menu. [EDIT] The Reach BETA is supposed to be Multiplayer only, no campaign. >>>[EDIT]<<< >>> In response to the growing number of questions regarding being able to play the BETA if you're a minor or w/ a minor account, I'm not sure, however, if you can play ODST in the first place, I'm assuming you can play the BETA. >>>[EDIT]<<< According to a couple messages I received, yes, you can access the BETA from a child account. [EDIT] Stickied, hooray! [EDIT]
Posted by: urk "Buy Halo 3: ODST and receive an invitation to participate in the Halo: Reach Xbox LIVE multiplayer beta. If you want in, hold onto your copy of Halo 3: ODST and stay tuned to Bungie.net and Xbox.com for more details." The Halo: Reach Xbox LIVE Multiplayer beta will be accessible via the Halo 3: ODST disc, you'll need an active Xbox LIVE Gold subscription to participate, and there are no dates or details just yet. As soon as we have them, we'll clue you in. Until then, sit tight and hold onto your discs. You do NOT need to have pre-ordered your copy. In fact, you could buy your disc the day the beta goes live and still get in. * 10.04.2009 11:06 AM PDT
[Edited on 01.20.2010 1:59 PM PST]

 •
Posted by: KingDeadly626
Posted by: IamUrGodbowdown i never played a beta be4. is it a demo of reach but just for multiplayer? and will reach be the best halo ever?
A beta is somewhat related to a demo, only demos are things you can keep for as long as you want and arn't controlled by the makers. Betas are completely under the control of the makers and are only availible for a limited time. And to answer your other question,I say YES.
Thank you for the info! Yes I believe it will be the best! O and I'm wondering how long the beta going to last? O and what if ODST on games on demand and I downloaded it? will I have to absolutely get the disc anyways just to play the beta? P.S. looking foward to the beta and the game's release. Can't wait!
