A couple days ago, adblock stopped blocking youtube videos. Is it just me?
-
Holy crap guys, I am not against ads, I just like AdBlock. Stop flaming. On topic: I found an option saying to check a box for blocking video ads, but whenever I leave the option page, the button reverts. It says to update chrome, and I did... Huh.

What a corrupt and evil company!
lol, nice overreaction there. having ads shoved in your face is not nice, even if they're short ones. and they managed to keep the site free before they had ads at the start of videos.
Sarcasm =/= Overreaction. Their decision to show you advertisements at the beginning of their videos has absolutely nothing to do with ethics however. So what if it's "not nice"? You're the one who is choosing to use their service, if you don't like seeing their ads, then perhaps you should use a different service, or I suppose you can be unethical yourself and choose to block the ads.

I use Google Chrome, and ADBlock still works for me. I haven't seen a single ad on a video since I got it (and yes, I just tried a few videos to make sure it was still working). EDIT: Watching ads on youtube is stupid. [Edited on 12.26.2011 1:43 PM PST]

Not watching advertisements is killing the industry. Sure, some ads may come off as annoying, I just skip them, but some of them actually intrigue me and are really well done.
