i like Ricky Gervais' stand-up routine... but is it just me or is the UK version of the office boring and un-funny compared with any other UK TV show syndicated in america(Dr.Who included)?
Posted by: Blu Strawberriez Why would you say that about Doctor Who?
i was saying Dr. Who made a more interesting show...
Posted by: derka derka Both suck.
I can openly agree with this.

Ricky Gervais has a sort of practical sense of humor, meaning that he writes things that can usually happen in a typical daily routine. Nothing too out of the ordinary or impractical happens. And doing this keeps the sanity and consistency of the show.

Why would you say that about Doctor Who?

US version ftw. The overall production quality is higher too, that might have something to do with it.
Posted by: ABotelho Are you an American?
yes. it seems more heavily dialog based than clerks is, but with less going on. [AS] airs the show now that the American Office version(which i don't find funny at all, btw) is off the air.

I love the UK version. The humor is way funnier!
-
Yeah, the UK office doesn't really nail the 'funny awkward' it goes for. I find it difficult to watch. (I'm from NZ btw).

Both suck.

The UK office put me to sleep while the US office I was laughing at the whole time.
-
I prefer the US version hands down to the UK version, even before I moved to the US.
