I find it a bit more realistic. Bullet spread would happen at a higher rate of fire.

Actually I now understand how bloom should have been. What one of yous said down below or something, the mechanics of bloom and how it should have been.
Guys, really? This thread is way too serious... Like, stop commenting... D:
Posted by: Akamia179
I am simply arguing that when people cry for realism in bloom they are being completely stupid whereas you are, at this point, arguing semantics. I don't mind 85% bloom but that's because at that point it's almost non-existent. Default Reach's bloom was poorly implemented and, for those people who cry for realism, is NOT realistic. The DMR is a joke by today's standards. How that weapon is running around as a standard issue AR in the year 2552 is beyond me. Damn budget cuts.
Posted by: Viper Skills
Posted by: Akamia179 I'm not ignorant.
You displayed plenty of ignorance when it comes to modern weaponry. Let's say a defense contractor was tasked with creating a new standard issue assault rifle for the United States Marine Corps. They would be looking to not only beat the M16, the M4, and the various other rifles that are sometimes used (like the ACR, which is amazing assault rifle) but they would also have to beat their competition. Let's say that defense contractor walked in with the DMR. A rifle that fires the same rounds, cannot be fired automatically or even semi-automatically. It has a fixed rate of fire and, unlike the M4 and the M16, it does NOT have an effective range of 500 Meters. In fact, it struggles to kill opponents at a range of 30 Meters or more. What would happen to this contractor? If you guessed, "He'd lose his Department of Defense contract," then you guessed right. Congratulations. Realism argument = flat out stupid. The DMR sucks.
I was not ignorant. I agreed with some of what that other guy said. I never said it aloud because it was unimportant at the time. Anyhow, what would I know about modern weaponry? I'm not comparing anything to those. However, if I made a comparison when I did not intend to, point it out for me. I told you, validity does not equal truth. It doesn't have to be true to be valid. This goes in the flipside, as well; Truth does not equal validity.
Posted by: Viper Skills Realism argument = flat out stupid. The DMR sucks.
Yes it does but every other weapon in Reach sucks even more so that's why I use it. No bloom is preferred of course

That, and I have a little brother who is much better at the game than me.

I'm done with this thread. I'm not going to argue with a captain on the matter of bloom. It's been done, and you've lost by just posting. I'm going to bed.
Posted by: iNinjaVVen
Posted by: Akamia179 ... What did that prove? All I see is my number of kills with a DMR. And my number of deaths. From a DMR. By the way, if Bloom enables spamming to win, then dead-on accuracy also enables spamming to win, unless rate of fire is lowered. Even then, at max rate of fire, it's still spam.
Dead on accuracy assures the best aim will always win. Bloom makes it so one can get lucky in an individual fight. This is pretty simple. You're ignorant on the matter.
I'm not ignorant. I just can't grasp what you are trying to tell me. If it were implemented correctly, the best aim would still win, but at the same time, the one who took better time to control said aim (In this latter case, where the bullet would go during a volley of bullets through timed shots).
