That Baseplate guy on the radio, he has a scottish Accent. And when speaking to Price, he says 'You still owe me from Pripyat.'
Are they the same person? Just a thought.
-
Yeah, later he makes another reference to Macmillian and CoD4...
Posted by: dahuterschuter
Posted by: Tehplayer1 I don't think so. Baseplate's Scottish accent didn't sound like MacMillan, so no. Thinking back to COD 4 though, what did Baseplate sound like there? You can hear him speak in the last mission.
It's Macmillan. Not in CoD4, but in MW3 Baseplate is Macmillan. Price calls him Mac, calls in his favour from his time in Pripyat and makes reference to his mentorship. Even if it wasn't explicitly stated you could tell from their interaction.
-
Most likely.
-
I'm pretty sure it's him.

I wouldn't know, it's been a while.
I know what you mean by "Mac" on the level "Heat" One of the SAS soldiers was named Mac. He most likely died on that level or later in campaign...
-
Yes, infact, that was indeed MacMillian from Call of Duty 4.
Posted by: Trenty
Posted by: DoctorPsychology Macmillan must be old. The Pripyat mission was supposed to be in the 90's right.
92. Macmillan is something like 55-60 in MW3. He's Commander of the 22nd SAS Regiment in MW3.
What? Pripyat was 1996. Price says that bad guys use Chernobyl a decade later (after the incident, 1986) to get their hands on nuclear material. COD 4 is set 15 years after that, putting it in 2011. MW2 and MW3 are set 5 years after COD 4.
-
Yes it was him, Kamerov (sp?) also made a cameo. I had a nerdgasm when he said "you still owe me from pripyat" started shouting "OI SUSIE!"
-
Bloody hell, you're damn right he owes me one!
-
Well, yes, considering the Pripyat part and the whole "Mac, it's John" line.

Two sticks and a rock for the whole platoon! And we had to share the rock!

Yes it is.

Yeah it was Macmillian. Nice little cameo for CoD4 fans.

Yes, he's Baseplate. Sort of the British version of the American call sign Overlord. [Edited on 11.11.2011 1:58 PM PST]
Posted by: R0flcopter Pilot
Posted by: BROWN HAWK What level? (I haven't played MW3 yet)
Well you first hear him speak on the mission in London. Then 2 missions after that, you hear Price talking to him
Yeah, it's him.
