Welcome to the ODST Invasion Development Thread!
The premise of the ODST Invasion map is to bring the ODST aesthetic design to Multiplayer in the form of a competitive map. Follow the development via this thread and share any thoughts, ideas, and feedback you may have as well.

I had an idea with an ODST style invasion that uses the pelican you made but like you stated it is 1500 and I don't even know which part of forge world I was going to use. Oh well, you're a better forger than me.

Was wondering where the core that you need to capture was.
I just built it for phase 1 at the moment. Phase one is the most important phase to me because it shows how much of the map your attackers are going to have. 2nd phase is the easiest one to build for under normal circumstances.
Does that version of the map just end there?
For now, yea since I haven't built the rest of it. None of the maps I've built in the last 7 days have had all 3 phases completed. I only build the first phase and if it doesn't work out I scrap the design. I can always build outwards from Phase 1. If I start at phase 2 I probably wont get anywhere. If I start at phase 3, I'll probably run out of budget and forget the other phases. Long story short, the map linked in the video is just showing ODST aesthetics that I've been sitting on. I gonna redesign it tonight and see where I get with it.

One thing I can see with this design right away is that the territories are too close together. That'll be very hectic in a 6v6 setting. I had them switched around facing the wall where the healthpack is at one point. Problem with this is that they become grenade traps. As such, this design is probably going to be scrapped and overhauled.

Watching. Goat says this is a concept demonstration, not a finalized map. Stop asking why it isn't finished. He has already redesigned the map since this video was posted. [Edited on 11.06.2011 3:58 PM PST]
