Just beat it and so many questions.
What happened to Blackburn?
What happened to Dima?
Was there war?
What happened to the PLR?

-
It's called Battlefield 4, see ya in 2 years now.
-
Pretty sure the nuke went off in Times Square. It's one of those brilliant cliffhanger endings that lets you think about what happened next on your own, without delivering some sledgehammer conclusion that takes the punch out of such a monumental build-up.

It was hilarious at first, but then after about 20 minutes of playtime it stopped being funny. Then he got gunned down by a jet and his dying words were "I was drinking a vanilla milkshake... that mean something?"
Rofl, that couldn't have been anymore perfect.
Posted by: UnfitFatbill Just beat it and so many questions. What happened to Blackburn? What happened to Dima? Was there war? What happened to the PLR?
1. Blackburn would have been let off seeing as he's handcuffed to the person who wasn't meant to be there, plus there's a nuke next to him. 2. This was a bit vague, but I think its meant to leave him off as a badass maybe-rogue agent fending off criminal hitmen, etc who are out to stop him from doing similar things to other arms dealers, or to cover up Russia's mistake (the Russian government is notorious for its corruption in real life). 3. No; Blackburn would have proven that Russia wasn't directly responsible and the conflict in that valley was only a minor conflict / mishap - in real life similar things have literally happened - Russian and US troops engaged in minor firefights in Georgia (the ex-soviet country) after Russia semi-invaded it while the US had some troops stationed there. 4. Would still exist, like how Al Qaeda exists without Osama, etc - it's meant to be more like the Taliban though, a (once) legitimate military force exiled into guerilla warfare.

I think Blackburn was the guy being interrogated.
Posted by: UnfitFatbill Just beat it and so many questions. What happened to Blackburn? What happened to Dima? Was there war? What happened to the PLR?
1. Died from radiation poisoning. At least that's how I interpreted the end. 2. Dying from the above. Is the narrator. 3. I don't believe so. 4. Most likely fell apart due to the leadership vaccum.
Posted by: pvt dounut
Posted by: BoyceKRP
Posted by: pvt dounut Dima actually was diagnosis with radiation poisoning and wrote a suicide note at the end
Oooh right, I just went and rewatched the final scene. Here's how I think Dima's story went down... So the guy has radiation, probably live with suffering, and wants to commit suicide. But he even says that "maybe I could live for another 30 years", suggesting he's not necessarily going to immediately die, he could live. The knock on the door? Well that's just his calling to another job. So yeah, BF4 HIGHLY likely.
and that he quoted "you can only die once so make it count" so he probably did not suicide
yeah thats why i thought it was so wierd that everyone thought he committed suicide because of that

I'm sure there's some lore on the wiki website or something.
Posted by: arceushero
Posted by: pvt dounut
Posted by: BoyceKRP What happened to Blackburn? - Good question. Undisclosed. Either held back in Military Custody, or released on account of being correct and praised for saving New York. What happened to Dima? - There was someone at his door, right... Not sure who it would have been, but I am assuming that he is now considered AWOL and is a high value target, either by the Russian Military, or the PLR. Was there war? - No. The nuclear catastrophe was averted in the US, so no blame was pitted on the Russians there. What happened to the PLR? - Picture them like the Al Qaeda. They're still around. Yeah, the campaign has a lot of holes come to think of it..
Dima actually was diagnosis with radiation poisoning and wrote a suicide note at the end
Yes, but its possible he lived considering somebody was at his door before he committed suicide, so its possible that he was able to get medical help in time. This was DEFINITELY left open for a sequel now that i think about it, so expect a battlefield 4...
I loved this campaign alot but its so sad that almost everyone died
Posted by: TheMaverick444
Posted by: arceushero Bad publicity. How does it look if they have rogues with the power to sell nukes? If they take care of it quietly, its a better solution. Of course, it didn't go as planned because of the Marines there.
What about afterward when the nuke exploded in Paris? Russia could have said, "Look, we lost some nukes. Let's help prevent another tragedy like this happening in New York City." Also I think the one agent interrogating Blackburn (not the bald one) might have been trying to frame him for Solomon's actions because he denied Solomon had a role to play at every step and it just so happens that he's a CIA informant. It's fishy.
Well, i'm just going to fall back on the "ITS A BATTLEFIELD GAME" excuse. Lol, jk. If they did that, we wouldn't have got to shoot shoot shoot, stab stab kill, now would we?
Posted by: TheMaverick444 How come the Russians didn't just contact the Americans and say, "Hey, we have a rogue official selling nukes to the PLR. How about we conduct a joint operation to capture him?" instead of sending in a tone of paratroopers and GRU operatives to capture Kaffarov and eventually engage the American Marines? If Russia didn't want to be blamed then they could have spoken up to say it wasn't them and then help stop the crisis.
Bad publicity.
