Promotional Video Contest
[b]Promotional Video Contest![/b]
Even seen a clip from Bungie promoting their new game that just made you go “wow”? Here’s your chance to make your own video promoting one of Bungie’s games and make them go “wow.”*
Using footage from any of Bungie’s games, from Gnop! to Halo 3, make a 1:30 (max) video promoting that game, or you can sling them all into one video and make a promotion for Bungie Studios, or you film one yourself using legos! The point is, "Be creative". Then post your video on Youtube.com (among others) and post the link here. The contest will go through seven^ rounds of elimination before declaring a victor. Below are the specifications.
[i]If your video does not reach these specs. It may not be accepted.[/i]

[*]Must be Bungie related
[*]Must contain the Bungie logo at some point
[*]Must be no longer than 1:30
[*]Must be your own creation
[*]Creativity is a big plus

Here's my [url=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3rmLy2GEs6k] movie. [/url] Yes, I know it's not that great. But I didn't make it specifically for this occasion. I was bored a few weeks ago and just decided to play around with Gmod 9 for a while and this is what came out. The Bungie logo's not in it either, but that can be fixed, depending on the response I get from the public. [i] No [/i], I don't expect this to win. I don't even expect you to like it. I just thought I'd put it out there. It's not really promoting anything, other than the Spartans. Yeah, I know they're fighting humans but apparently no one has the time to put together a few Covenant ragdolls.

Hey everyone there's a lot of good music videos being made here but very few promos. Think about how you'd advertise a bungie product in a cinema, think about the pacing of shots (normally fast and lost of them if it's action) and think about music (not normally pop, they normally use the film's own score). Also think about showing that green page with copyright information that seems to be at the start of all modern movie trailers. Also try to be creative, it's easy to show halo as an action packed trailer, but what about taking all the funny moments and making a trailer as if it was a comedy for example. Also you could try doing your own voice over. Just my thoughts

does anyone know how to turn off your HUD in halo pc ? BTW, does anyone here use anything [i]besides[/i] windows movie maker? i've been slightly dissapointed watch these so far, nothing really great... i would recomend that anyone interested in winning this contest download the demo of adobe premiere pro 2 from [url]www.adobe.com[/url]. i need to find some free time this week so i can show every1 how much better combustion 4 + premiere pro 2 + after effects 7 is than windows movie maker. :)

If you're planning on making a promo video for a game that bungie [i]could[/i] make then be very carefull. I think it's fine as long as it's Bungie related in one way or another. For the music, you can definitely use whatever music you see fit.

It wont do -blam!-3 if your not creative. U can make a lot of creative stuff with movie maker, its a frustrating piece of software but it is possible. i Used Premiere Pro ( 1 ) and Sound Fordge 6 ( yep an older and simpeler version of what lateron was taken over by Adobe and called Audition ) to edit the Vid and the music. Cus editing music within any video-editing software suxx. (Still dont know why its that way, why doesnt Adobe integrate audition within Premiere and After effects). Ow im sorry about the wining :)
