I am laughing, I can't imagine the crappy graphics compared to the other versions!

> Xbox 360 was released in 2005 > Wii U is being released in 2012 > Battlefield 3 can run just fine on the 360 > You really think it won't be able to run on a system 7 years more advanced?

In this console generation I've been more impressed by the blurry cardboard cut out backgrounds of an amazing underwater city than polygons and texture quality. Lawl next gen consoles. Next gen consoles are basically going to be game centric specialized PC rigs sold by Microsoft and Sony. MS are already inching Xbox Live and Windows closer and closer together. Though they might not even do that; a games console is just a pricey necessity required to play the awesome games you want to play and it's a huge hurdle to make potential customers jump. It'd make more sense to just offer Xbox and PSN branded OnLive clones.
What? Unless you live in Sweden then Onlive isn't even an option for multiplayer games. The latency issues are immense.
Works for us in the UK. America just needs to get there act together about Internet. 10Mbps for everyone in America by 2020 sounds reasonable considering the UK is going to have 300Mbps by 2015.
That will be cool if it happens, But i still don't like the idea of purchasing a game and it only being kept on onlive servers. If they make a Direct download marketplace like Steam it might be worth it. As it is Onlive seems like an awful service.
Posted by: ZantKiller1 I'm not so sure, if they are Console exclusive then yes they will probably be ports but if they have a dedicated PC version I think the increase power will make it much easier to downgrade from the PC version instead. But Nintendo exclusivity titles I can really only think of Zelda and F-zero which would really benefit from the extra power given to them. If Nintendo made a new F-zero as a launch title or even a HD remake of F-zero GX with on-line races, I would buy the system immediately.
Depends on what porting to the Wii U is like. It's not like it's going to matter for long anyways. The Wii U will have a year minimum to two years max before the 360 and PS3's far more powerful successors enter the market. They'll still get some juice out of third parties since they won't immediately move all development to next gen platforms but once they do the Wii U will be stuck with the same problems the Wii has.
Posted by: Vgnut117
Posted by: ZantKiller1 I have heard 50% to 80% more powerful then both of those, I wouldn't call that 'slightly'.
10%, 20%, 100% it doesn't matter for third party games. Tons of 360/PS3 games will be on the WU. We already know this. Thing is those games are going to be tailored for the 360 and PS3 and ported to the WU. If there's going to be a technological marvel on the Wii U then it's going to have to come from a Nintendo developer.
Posted by: theTYTAN3 If Nintendo releases a controller with actual joysticks I may get the new console and launch titles on day one... and battlefield 3 if anything would run better on the Wii U.
Battlefield 3 would run better on the PC,your logic is flawed.
Posted by: theTYTAN3 If Nintendo releases a controller with actual joysticks I may get the new console and launch titles on day one... and battlefield 3 if anything would run better on the Wii U.
Well I kind of prefer the slide pads to Analog joysticks the only problem is that you lose the ability to click the sticks in. but you have a touch screen which balances it out.
Posted by: Epicsm1ley
Posted by: The U2 RoKKeR WiiU has slightly more power than the 360 and PS3 so... ...try again.
Then again,my laptop has more power then both.
So does my PC... ...and "slightly" or not, it has more power so the OP's initial statement is stupid.
Posted by: Neanderthal 487 That'll be the best version, of course.
Now on the consoles it will have the best graphics no denying that, it wont rival the PC but it will make it easier for DICE to put it onto the system. But in terms of control scheme that extra screen looks damn useful. If it isn't to much of a step down in terms of graphics and if the online is decent I will consider getting it on that system over the others.
