WHAT THE HELL. Banned from XBL until 12/31/9999 **VERDICT REACHED**

All updates are at the bottom of the OP. PLEASE DO NOT COME IN THIS THREAD TO POST ABOUT THE MOON MAP FOR CALL OF DUTY: BLACK OPS, I DID NOT PURCHASE IT, I HAVE ONLY PURCHASED THE FIRST STRIKE MAP PACK. Okay, seriously, what the heck. Here's the email:
Xbox LIVE Notification of Permanent Suspension: Marketplace theft [ DO NOT REPLY to this email address. It is not monitored. ] This email is to notify you that your Xbox LIVE account privileges have been permanently suspended due to marketplace theft. The conduct that caused this suspension may include, but is not limited to: Duplication of item purchase history Attempted Microsoft Points fraud Illegitimate acquisition of redemption codes Your conduct was brought to the attention of the LIVE Enforcement Team through complaints filed by other Xbox LIVE users or in the course of our operation of the service. The LIVE Enforcement Team has reviewed the complaints and other evidence regarding your conduct and determined it violates the Xbox LIVE Terms of Use and/or Code of Conduct. Because your conduct is in violation, the LIVE Enforcement Team has issued a permanent suspension. During your suspension, you will not be able to log into Xbox LIVE. Your Xbox LIVE privileges will not be reinstated. Customer Support is not able to modify or provide any further details about your suspension. You can view the Zune Social Terms of Service by visiting http://www.zune.net/legal/termsofservice.htm. Thank you, LIVE Enforcement Team
What the heck? I've only been on XBL once since since school started, and because I have a day off tomorrow, and not too much work to do this weekend, I figured I chill with some Battlefield. I try to play my XBox and I learn I've been banned from XBox LIVE since 4:00 P.M. September fifteenth, 2011. THAT'S 30 MINUTES AGO. I've never: "Stolen" an item by downloading it multiple times. I've only downloaded something more than once if I BOUGHT IT and later DELETED IT or downloaded it to one of my OTHER TWO CONSOLES. Yes, I own 3 XBox 360s. Attempted to forge Microsoft Point codes. What is this anyway? Gotten any redemption codes "illegitimately" the only redemption codes I've used are MSP cards, preorder bonus cards, 48 trial cards, and exclusive content cards packaged with games. WHAT IS THIS MICROSOFT? I'VE NEVER DONE ANYTHING ILLEGAL ON YOUR CONSOLE, EVER. /rant. EDIT: I just tried to send a message to all my XBL friends about what's going on, and I'm not even allowed to do that. UPDATE: I just contacted XBox support, and they told me I should've received a reply by Saturday at the latest. I have yet to recieve one, I'm submitting my thread again and have submitted feedback to XBox.com like supprt just told me to. -_- They seem to be beating around the bush the whole and STILL have yet to give me specific reason as to why I was banned. EDIT: Certain "language" removed, because I will be posting this on the XBox.com fourms. UPDATE: I got the email for the "Executive Response Team" sending an email now. Hopefully we can get this sorted out... UPDATE: Just sent a 1 and 1/4 page single spaced word document equivalent email to Microsoft, no I have to wait for up to three days... MAJOR UPDATE: After I sent my long email to Microsoft, I got a reply within an hour or two and they're going to have an "Exception Specialist" review my case!! He'll be contacting me early next week! I may be getting unbanned!! :D FINAL UPDATE: I got off the phone with the Exception Specialist with Microsoft, and he said I'm not getting unbanned. Apparently an infraction was committed on my account, but I do not know what it was, and they're not allowed to tell me... I'm extremely depressed right now. I put 4 years, countless hours, and thousands of dollars into that account and when I tried to use it I was just told "You can't use this anymore." Then when I asked why I couldn't use it I was told "Because we said so." :'( [Edited on 09.29.2011 6:01 PM PDT]

 • I don't know why you posted this int he first place, because no one here could help you. I suppose you just wanted to vent. Well, you did, so I hope that at least made you feel a bit better. Though since your situation in now as resolved as it can be, and since you bumped this thread so many time, its way past time for a lock.

 • 1. If your the owner of the account go to Xbox.com, make a quick silverstat GT and post your problem on the XBL XPET Forums. They can tell you exactly why you got banned. 2. If possible get a FULL copy of your download history. It might be helpful to prove your point. 3.Don't plan on being reunited with your account, it might be unbanned, but still suspended. Thats just how people there work.

 • Haven't posted before, but I've been reading and I wanted to say that I feel for you man. Terrible situation to be caught up in, really was hoping you would get the account back. That is so messed up that this whole thing happened and that after all of this they were so blunt about the whole thing.

Yes, I own 3 XBox 360s.
This is likely why you were perma-banned, and why you'll likely not get this ban repealed. Microsoft saw this as you have an Xbox, your 2 other friends both have an Xbox. You downloaded something legally, but your 2 friends haven't. They want the content so you go to their house, you activate your account on their Xboxs, and then download the content on to their consoles. So all 3 of you can play the downloaded content, while only one of you has paid for it. AKA; Duplication of item purchase history. Now, lets say you're legit. You do have 3 Xbox 360s and you were trying to download the content on each console. This is a hassle. Because everytime you want to play a different console you have to activate your Xbox live profile on the new console. If you were smart, and not totally retarded, you would just remove your harddrive from the Xbox 360 you mainly use, the one that has your profile and all the important downloaded content on it, and then attach it to the other 360 you want to play at the time. I assume the only reason you would have 3 Xbox 360s, and try to download the content on each of them is because you have 3 different places you play your Xbox. Guessing in your room, the living room and maybe in the basement or something. But anyways, it's unlikely you will get the ban repealed because you did commit 'duplication of item purchase history'. Next time (if there is a next time) be smart and just take out the harddrive of your Xbox 360 and attach it to your other Xbox instead of going through the long process of re-activating your Xbox live account on a different Xbox 360, and downloading the content a second or even third time. On a related note, I don't believe you have 3 Xbox 360s, I believe you tried duplicating your content on your friend's consoles.
360 S harddrive =/= Elite harddrive. Your whole argument = invalid. Also, you want pics, brah?? Plus, if I downloaded the content to friends' XBoxes it takes up their memory without them being able to access the content unless my profile is present.
That actually was a valid point. The hard drive in the Xboxs before the S version are in-cased inside that grey thing you take out. Inside that grey case is a bare hard drive. If you take it out then you can slide it into the S version Xbox. You can then use the cable (the connector that connects into the xbox) to connect it into any old version 360. Of course, there would be a hard drive hanging out if you dont put it back into the casing. I did this. I opened my old 20gb hard drive case from the xbox and gave it to my cousin because i got him a 4gb S version. Works perfect. I also bought a 250gb WD drive to use as well. You have to do some file transfer in order for the Xbox to recognize it. I ended up using my 250gb hd that the S version comes with as an external hard drive for my laptop.
