Start with: -20 = -20
Which is the same as: 16-36 = 25-45
Which can also be expressed as: (2+2) 2 (9 X (2+2) = 52) 9 X 5
Add 81/4 to both sides: (2+2) 2 (9 X (2+2) + 81/4 = 52) 9 X 5 + 81/4
Rearrange the terms: ({2+2}) 9/2) 2 = (5-9/2) 2
Ergo: 2+2 - 9/2 = 5
Hence: 2 + 2 = 5
This was calculated in Gaelic BTW.
Posted by: Disambiguation
Posted by: Cr4zyd4wg But you cannot mathematically prove something related to biology. You cannot say that a monkey is an amphibian purely because you used the transitive property of equality a few times.
You're going to have to defer to my authority on this one, because I have a bachelor's in mathematics and you do not.
That may be true, but mathematics and biology are two different fields of science. For an animal to be an amphibian, they have to meet an explicit set of requirements completely different from other classifications of animal. One cannot waltz up, use the transitive property a few times and say that mammals = amphibians (because by your theory, monkeys = mammals, mammals = animals, animals = amphibians), and have all the biologists change monkeys from mammals to amphibians. They would shake their heads and continue on with their work. I have no doubt that you're a smart guy and have a math degree, but I simply refuse to believe this applies here.

In any case, animals and terms of speech are not valid mathematical terms. Your argument would be valid in something like this: 4+4=8 (4/4)+(4/4)=(8/4) 2+2=4 Not only am I using mathematically correct values, but I'm taking a potshot at the OP for saying that 2+2=5. To further prove Sauron's logic, here's an example. Chalupa = Food Food = Plants Plants = Flowers Flowers = Flour Therefore chalupas are flour.
