In the books, it is proven that MC cannot be Sgt John Forge, but in the Halo Wars timeline, it confirms that J. Forge had a family, and in the books, while a young Master Chief is undergoing training, he remembers small details about his mother every so often, but NEVER his father, maybe thats because his father died when he was still VERY young, perhaps in a supernova of sorts?
I am not saying that John Forge is definitely Master Chief's father. I am saying it's a possibility and that it fits with the Halo series, Halo wars and the books. Thoughts?

Meh, I wasn't trying to troll, it just seemed like we were doing ridiculous theories and I felt like throwing one in. The "honest it's true" bit's were more of a stab at those people that make claims like "I have the GRD helmet but can't prove it or Bungie will ban me". I wouldn't know how to troll if I tried.
Posted by: PARIAH 231 Forge is John's father? You sir, are mistaken ... it's clearly Eddy Buck. I can't back that up, you'll just have to believe my rediculous claim because, well, I don't even have a good reason why you should believe me, you just should. Actually, I'm lying. He's really Miranda's twin, but they were seperated at birth, one being raised by her family and the other being secretly adopted by some random chick. This was because some random drunk guy made the prophecy that "The son would grow up to kill the father" and that freaked the father out so he gave him away. Then they grew up and didn't realise they were related when they ran into each other during a crazy night out on the town and, well ... let's just hope they never understand how messed up what they did really was. This of course makes Halsey and Keyes his parents, which makes the fact that they kidnapped their own child from his adopted mother and put him in the Spartan-II project rather twisted and some very terrible parenting. Then came the events on Halo, and wouldn't you know it, that drunk guy was right and the son did indeed end up killing the father, not that either of them knew that was the case. Upon arriving back on Earth, John had the unfortunate job of telling Miranda her father was dead (though he left out the part he played in Keyes' death) and once again they did something very wrong when she sought solace in John's arms. Just before Miranda's own death, Cortana discovered the truth and revealed it to John, but he couldn't tell his sister before she was gunned down. He gave himself the last name Keyes in honour of his lost family. To top things off, after destroying the Ark, John got flung back in time to long before the Spartan project was founded and decided to live a normal life. He took a wife and had a son, which he named Jacob after his own father. Inspired by tales of his grandfather, Jacob joined the UNSC Navy when he grew up and eventually met a woman named Catherine Halsey whom he became romantically involved with. Shortly before the birth of their first child, which ended up being twins, a random drunk guy told him "the son will grow up to kill the father", so he put the boy up for adoption shortly after he was born. So began a fairly disturbing time loop. Honestly, that's the truth, but I can't tell you how I know or Bungie will ban me. (Ok, I'm done, I just figured it was my turn to throw in a retarded theory)
SIGH well it was a good try to troll bro but i know for certain i am right.... i was there...
