So me and my friend are having a pointless argument about the lethality of a barrett 50cal sniper rifle.
he says if you get shot ANYWHERE including like the flippin TOE that you will have a 100% chance of dying.
I told him he is wrong that if you got immediate medical attention you COULD survive and the only thing i could think of would be blood loss if you were shot in the foot.
He claims that it would rip off the limb and you would instantly bleed to death. There was a man who got his arm chainsawed off in my town and he got help about 2 minutes later and he lived.
So here is the question i need cleared up. Can you die if you get shot in the Leg, arm, toe, foot, or any other body part if you can make the bleeding stop and get immediate medical attention?

Well, you down a toe, but you're not dead. The .50caliber is an armor-piercing round, so when it hits flesh, it'll easily pass through. Fatal shots are to the following (excluding grazing:) Anywhere above the nostrils The jugular vein. (located in the neck) the heart the liver the appendix. any of the body's main arteries. (one in each leg, couple in the chest) The spinal cord. (above the lungs) a nasty place to be shot would be the stomach. Sulfuric acid would leak out and melt anything it touches. If your lucky it'll simply eat a hole in your back.
