Why do people hate Pokemon Black and White?
I don't see any problem with it. The game play is solid and in my opinion the Pokemon are actually more interesting than in past generations. Also the story in the game was better than most other games.

I was dissapointed by all the designs when I first saw them (as well as Unova really just being a big circle filled with people that love bridges) but bothe of those things really grew on me. And why have there been so many Pokemon threads in the past half hour?

Pokemon's gameplay has always been s***. I thought I liked it when I was a kid, but now I know better.

Most of the game was relatively boring, although the build up in N's Castle was surprisingly good. Gold and silver (and their respective remakes) -blam!- everything else.

Some of the pokemon designs are stupid, but some of them are really good. The story is also a lot better than before. (Most) of te Pokemon suck, but I would agree that the story was actually quite interesting.

It was meh, I prefer the older ones because I like the pokemon better, and the I felt the UI was best in SS. But I've only played R/B/Y, SS, and White and I would put them in order at SS > Y/B/R > White, its very close for Gen 1 and Gen 5 though since Gen. one has a horrible UI.
