the Bloom from Halo reach will be removed sometime now between Nov 15
the bloom in Halo reach will be removed on november 15th...when Halo ce comes out

Hey guys, I am going to confirm this information right now no more fighting. I work for Xbox as a T3 Agent, I currently had training on the update which includes removal of the bloom from pistol and DMR to give it that classic halo. Sniper still has bloom because they don't want spamming with it, ar also has bloom left on it because it's like a machine gun shoots all over the place. REACH WILL BE DROPPING AN UPDATE REMOVING BLOOM FROM PISTOL AND DMR. END OF DISCUSSION :)

To you and everyone else who thinks the bloom is removed. Stop wishing it will and get used to it. Even in the damnation video bloom is there. When he picks up sniper there is still bloom, AR still has bloom. So for all you kids that dont know how to use the bloom, stop spreading rumors on your own wishes. In the video there still is bloom. They are showing you a new map Be excited.

obviously (according to the video) they are removing or reducing bloom for the Halo CE anniversary edition multiplayer. My guess is Reach is gonna stay just the way it is honestly. [Edited on 08.17.2011 11:10 PM PDT]

bloom is what happens when you shoot almost any weapon, the reticle (thingy that shows you where your bullets are going) expands, especially when spamming the crap out of your gun

Frankie O said it himself. One video of a game on an unspecified playlist is not proof. Sorry.

This has probably been said 100 times but NO IT'S NOT GETTING REMOVED, IT ISN'T ONLY GOING TO BE AVAILABLE IN A FEW PLAYLISTS. OTHERWISE REACH WILL NOT CHANGE. Like honestly, you obviously never read anything from 343, OP, you don't even know if this information is legit. And you didn't even link the video so I assume you haven't even seen it and have no supporting evidence to back up what you're saying. Secondly Dmr bloom, why would there be no dmr bloom but bloom for everything else? Link a credible reference source to support your claim. Thirdly, it was posted on Halo waypoint, but it can be a number of things, for one it can be a beta test of it. And all the google search results that come up were all thread posts from third person sources. Those are not credible, and the fact thirty other people are saying that does not make it credible.

When the person in the video takes calmly paced shots, they hit his target more often than not. Towards the end of the vid, when said person is ripping off shots as fast as possible, he misses more often than not. This is the effect of bloom. All that they may/may not be removing is the visual representation of bloom. Nothing about the game mechanics is changing from what I saw. Same recoil for the weapon, same bloom effect, just no visual representation to go with the bloom. IMHO, this will simply make it harder to time your shots, with no visual rep, meaning you will probably miss your targets more often. I give it 2 months after CEA drops, and you same people will be [i][b]crying[/b][/i] to have the visual representation of bloom back. Just watch. By January of 2012, you will be calling me a Prophet.
