Xbox 360 stuck disc tray - Missing rubber band. Help?

Hey Flood, so I need some help. My Xbox was having the "open tray" error earlier today so I decided to open the tray and clean it all out (this had worked before) However, I accidentally knocked the rubber band off of the gears and then when trying to retrieve it my disc tray shut itself. And now I cannot open the disc tray at all to retrieve the band and put it back in place. Does anyone know how I could open the tray manually without the rubber belt? I can't find a way to do it D: Help? Also: It's an Original Xbox 360 [Edited on 07.27.2011 8:14 AM PDT]

 •
Posted by: Peza
Posted by: Decimator Omega You're going to have to open up your console, take out the disc drive and open that up just to reattach the rubber band back. I know form experience. However this option is not recommended unless you have already opened your system before.
I've taken some of it apart before, but not all of it.
So if you already voided the warranty, then by all means try taking apart the disc drive.

 • Get toothpaste and rub it all over your disks. Then superglue your game disks parallel to the closed disk tray. And then you're done. It's elementary.
