• This will come in handy in Photoshop. I think one of the designers at Bungie made the font for the logo.
Posted by: The Bobo Man Yep. Pretty sure. Bungie Logo Font
• It's pretty similar. The BUNGiE logo looks like it uses soft corners. Might just be the low resolution though.

 • As far as I can tell, if you change the font size to Tiny it is exatly the same as the logo on the top of the website.

 • Check the "N" in Bungie's logo, and the "N" in the font. The diagonal lines are different sizes.

 • I remember being told how many iterations of new logo designs they went through until they landed on this current one. Apparently some of them were extremely different from their previous logo. One of the following three scenarios is likely the case here: 1) A calligraphy artist took the original font design and beefed it up, then later uploaded it onto dafont.com 2) Someone at Bungie went looking for fonts on dafont.com, found Media Gothic and made a logo pitch from it. 3) Some calligraphy artist unrelated to Bungie decided to make a font based on Bungie's logo and then uploaded it to dafont.com. It does look incredibly similar. What tips me off about it is the fact that the "i" is purposefully shorter to allow for the blue-ball to fit in snugly. The only thing that's curious to me is that the font was "first seen" before 2005. When did Bungie change their logo? Wasn't it 2007? It could be that they've been wanting to change their logo for a long time, and their font-artists just happened to make fonts in their spare time for just such an occasion. This all seems quite bizarre the more I think about it.

 •
Posted by: squeak52 It's very close, but I don't think it is. If you look closely, the bottom "bar" on the "E" is slightly longer than the top bar in Bungie's logo. In the Font's version, the two bars are equal in length. (My eyes could be deceiving me.) Edit: I lined up a straight edge, and the top bar is seemingly 1 pixel shorter, than the bottom bar.
It's more likely that they took this font and stylized it somewhat, than that they created the logo of their own originality and it just happens to be nearly idenditcal to an existing font.

 •
Posted by: Covy Killer Look at the lower-case 'E'. EDIT: Also, sorry for double-post.
You're right... Besides the fact that the lower case 'E' is shorter, they are practically identical. Maybe they just upped the font size.

 • That looks almost identical. Either they do use that, or the used that for inspiration.
