Sometimes if I'm playing with my pencil due to boredom in class, I accidentally fling it across the classroom without really moving my fingers. It's not a spaz, I've even tried it. I can only do it when I don't try to. Which can lead to very bad things.
This ever happen to you? If so, ever done something like accidentally throw it at someones face?
-
Yeah, and it hit the teachers eye.
-
Yeah I have. The girl it hit threw it back. Haha

yes, in an exam.
-
Yes, once I even accidentally stabbed myself with it.
-
I threw a pencil at a girl once, and claimed someone else threw it. The girl was right next to me, and saw me throw it.
-
Yep. It got stuck in the ceiling. Got a lot of "WTF ARE YOU DOING" looks from my classmates.
Posted by: Scat
Posted by: Mind Reaper 771 I've done it on purpose and hit the teacher when she wasn't looking. (it hit her point first in the back of the head)
Why would you do that?
If you knew how much of a -blam!- she was, then you wouldn't need to ask.
-
Yeah. Almost hit the teacher, hilarity came after.
-
Accidentally, it wasn't in the face though. But at the top of the neck. Looked kinda painful.

Intentionally a bunch of firends and I when we were in mechanical drawing used to try and get a pencil to fly out the room or ricohet off a corner. Random tricks lol And... In metal shop i was able to get a pencil to fly across the room and embed into a piece of sheet aluminum with an air hose. and.... The teacher didnt say anything about it just laughed lol
Your shop teacher shouldn't encourage dangerous behavior like that unless it's controlled. Mine is pretty cool about everything, but safety is really important. Dangerous things, when safety precautions are taken, can be awesome though. (None of this is to say I'm the most careful and safe person in my shop. Not even close.)
It was controlled. Most of the class was on the other side of the room and we all had those aircraft plastic face shields on. The teacher didnt encourage us. But.... He let us goof off like that when we were not doing any projects or other stuff. and would somehow end up using it as a lesson in something or other for another class(like the inherent weakness of some aluminum types or something like that lol)
Posted by: Bearded Elf (None of this is to say I'm the most careful and safe person in my shop. I don't even have one with me other than on test days (and even then it's not 100% of the time) I got a laptop, everyone else in class does, we don't need no stinking pens or pencils.
