Nanosuit is way better than the Mjolnir armor. Better shields, Stealth ability built in, Armor power doesn't stop you from moving, more mobility, doesn't need to be enhanced to be a bad ass.
Characters actually talk and don't have a dull personality (exception being ODST's who I actually liked and cared about), they show their feelings, have better stories and are not freaking stereotypes.
You actually feel you're getting invaded, in Reach it was all a joke, you didn't feel hopeless, you just saw everything getting destroyed and were like oh well, In Crysis you actually see, how everything is going to hell.
Graphics, Obviously
The Covenant is a joke they're all a religious association, I mean, they worship a race as their gods only because their technology, yet when they found their gods they want to destroy them. And again, the races were stereotypes.
Flood, is the only point I can't disprove, although the CEPH does infect, it doesn't do as much as the Flood.
Halo is a linear shooter, Crysis offers many ways to beat a level, be it by being stealthy, sniping, going guns blazing, it isn't free roam, but level design is better than Halo.
Differen't objectives, not only Herp Derp activate Anti air turret and go trough the same level 2 times herp.
Collectibles add new layers of replayability, key cars, souvenirs and audio logs.
You gotta admit, Halo get's repetitive, it's always a group of grunts, a elite and a couple of jackals. Hunter's aren't even hard. Don't get me started on the Flood. In Crysis is always different. And the Pingers are real monsters.
Upgrading you suit to fit your playstyle is actually pretty good, and the same for upgrading your weapons, again, it adds replayability. In Halo you can't do anything like that.
Technology in Halo sucks, it's 25xx and look at it, while in Crysis is just a few years ahead of us and look all they have acomplished.
I'll edit more, wait.

Besides, Halo has a way larger and expansive universe compared to Crysis. We have movies, animations, motion-comics via Waypoint, more games, novels and much more.
Posted by: DesertScorpio
Posted by: hitmandw Halo = Linear shooter? Have you even played Halo 1,2 and ODST? On Halo 2's "Outskirts" there were so many rooftops, sniper peaks, building to explore and just a plethora of secrets to be unlocked. There were tons of ways to get to your objective. That's not linear at all.
ODST was great, too. Each flashback you were doing something different, whether it be rolling through the city in a tank or defending a crash site from an aerial assault.
Agreed.

Crysis is style over substance. Halo has a pretty good story, but it's hard to love it when you're seeing it through the eyes of a faceless space marine who rarely talks. So, neither. [Edited on 07.14.2011 10:42 PM PDT]

Last I heard, Crysis 2's MP was dead. Something about everyone using stealth or something. Halo Reach is still alive and running well, contrary to popular belief.
-
OP, what the hell are you rambling about? In the Halo Universe, spartans talk, except Lucy. You're only thinking of the games.
-
Saw that you were a Crysis fanboy and didn't read the rest.. the Crysis franchise is complete shet /thread Halo has hundreds of backstories, what does Crysis have :)
Posted by: And Im Here Too Which Alcatraz also has. His armor also has built in invisibility and armor mode is more durable than Chief's shields.
A Couple of Spartan III had upgraded helmets with the VISR mode that the ODST's had to see Invisible enemies. Armor Mode makes the user move slower and it uses energy, and if you move faster your energy depletes faster. Your basically a slow moving target.
Posted by: And Im Here Too
Can the Nanosuit jump from a flying vehicle at immense height and manage to survive when it hit the ground? Mjolnir has a gel layer that makes all that (somewhat) safe.
Being shot at is a bit different from falling from an 'immense height'. ...And weren't half of Red Team killed falling at mach 3, and leave the other half with broken bones? And wasn't Chief knocked out for a while with a damaged suit and injuries after falling two kilometers at the beginning of Halo 3?
Master Chief wasn't hurt at the beginning of Halo 3 if he was Sgt Johnson would of called in Heavy Lift Gear. But he woke up from his Knockout and was able to continue his mission. And those scratches on the left side of his armor was from landing on his chest in the Dreadnought in Halo 2. Those damages are just scratches. Nothing Big.

Chiefs armor is just as good if not better....and check out those rocket boosters from Halo 4....gonna be beast.

Nanosuit slowly kills the operator. See Prophet in Crysis 2. As well, Alcatraz couldn't beat the Chief. He's already essentially dead in his suit, both his extensive injuries and the disease it causes. Nomad would be a better fight, but even still... he's not as experienced as the Chief. John would win. Sorry Cysis, but it's just not possible. Trained since he was six. Check Augmented body. Check. Armor? Shields? Reflexes? Triple check. Spartan Laser? Hahahahaha. [Edited on 07.13.2011 12:08 PM PDT]

Halo Story > Future Duty story Sure, the nanosuit may be cool, but it's nice to know Chief can still kick ass without the suit. Can the protagonists of Crysis do that? Probably not as well.
-
but how is the multiplayer? oh wait that's right it's garbage.

Not as bad of a stomp, but given the Ark's production capacity... Bog standard Halo defense Sentinels. Crysis gets wrecked, maybe not as fast, but still wrecked. The Precursors are intergalactic. A civilization like that, you cannot say it was completely wiped out, maybe only the Milky Way Precursors were... anything else is conjecture. [Edited on 07.13.2011 12:01 PM PDT]

The Covenant alone could conquer those guys....do they even have colonies outside of the Solar System in Crysis? What is to stop the Covies from just glassing them?
