Rise of the Spartans (Reach Machinima)

This machinima is genuinely amazing. It has depth and other elements that make it utterly complete like great movie trilogies.

Part 6 was absolutely amazing! A little long, I must say, but still excellent! I would have divided it up into two parts if I were in your position. ;)

Plus they can animate their own locations based on Halo designs to make their own environments.[/quote] Some of it is CGI, the stuff with the Freelancers is mainly CGI, but alot of the stuff with the Reds and Blue is still "Machinima" work on Halo 3 and besides, there is CGI type of stuff done Rise of the Spartans as well.

After finishing that chilling episode... There are things that I was thinking of saying throughout the film, but now can't remember. I'll say what I can think of though. First off, I love the training program. The simulations were incredible. Each was a creative event that I could never have thought of. And the way that you executed each of them was great. Also, even just the program itself was interesting. I loved the idea of the colors and the progression system. Green -> Blue -> Red -> Gold. I loved being able to watch the characters grow through the tiers. Oh- characterization! The amount and deepness of characterization in this film is absolutely phenomenal. It provides us with clear insight into each of the characters that are in episode 6. Then along with characterization comes the emotion. Every act of friendship during this episode really brought me to become closer to the characters. The forging was the best! I stood there... Wait, no I was sitting... I sat there in awe as I looked at all of the aesthetic forging that was in the film. The detail of your forging was thought out and well done, such as the coat rack. I paid a lot of attention to the forging and I never saw a flaw. The jokes had me chuckling. The intention of having them be lame made them even better. Then I know you had some inside jokes in there as well. Such as, "thanks, we made it." The commercials were really great. The pizza commercial had me laughing. Haha it was awesome. The connections that were being drawn between the past and present were clever and chilling. I can't wait to find out what'll happen next. There are so many story-lines to follow now. Anything and everything in this film was important to the plot... I can't wait to see where it goes next, and what plot twists will present themselves. And again I must bring up the emotion factor. The way that there were the snippets of episodes 1-5, and then the final Earth dream of King... It killed me. All of the characters contributed to the sadness of the moment (such as King's death) and the anticipation of future missions (squad being formed)... It was touching. *Tear* Oh- and on a random note, my younger brother who is not at all a fan of Halo was watching this with me during parts... He was inspired. Haha. He was playing Minecraft and he said, "that makes me want to play Halo..." That's a rare thing. RotS is inspiring! Keep at it. :D I wish I had all of the words to express my satisfaction with this episode... But I don't. :P You did a great job, Arby. :) [Edited on 06.22.2012 11:03 AM PDT]

Absolutely worth the 4 month, 11 day wait! I had no idea how you were going to follow up Part 5 with something [i]better[/i], but you definitely put my worries to rest. My jaw dropped to the floor when I saw the camera pan down on Nightflash's body at the bottom of the Forerunner site, I was under the impression that this whole thing would be a prequel which resulted in a very pleasant surprise. The music, acting, choreography, camera-work... everything was top-notch. I absolutely loved the build-up of King's character and your portrayal of the Spartan program with the whole conflict of equality was pulled off really well. The whole thing was emotionally satisfying to see the story come full-circle to link with Part 1. Loved all the references to things like Halo 2, Star Wars and other machinimas too. :P I anxiously anticipate the day you have 'To Be Concluded' in the penultimate episode, whenever it may be.

I sorta liked his idea of everyone being the same color.I think it makes it more realistic,the only people that should have a different color or armor piece,is the leader,and(or)the medic.
