I'd love to see our big elite friend make an appearance, is there a possibility?
Posted by: MasterSin
Posted by: SatanicSultan There is a very small chance that will happen. The story mode for Halo 4 will specifically be developed around Master Chief and Cortana. It has already been confirmed that the Covenant will have no appearance in it, so I'm assuming the Arbiter as well.
No covenant at all? That sucks, where is your source?
The only source I ever saw that was even remotely close to backing this up an interview with someone who wasn't even from 343i/Microsoft, so I am not entirely sure the claim is reliable. It's entirely possible we might not see Covies in Halo 4, but I very highly doubt that they will be left out of the whole trilogy, that would just be foolish.

It would be nice to see the new Covenant ruled by the Elites.
-
easter egg?
Posted by: liox4ever No, remember he was left on Earth and then left. No one knows what Halo 4 is about, I don't think.
We have an idea.

not possible, they dont even know where cheif is
Posted by: BK Burger Boy I'd rather have have a campaign split Arbiter/Chief can go and do his thing on the Forerunner planet. That way we can fight the Covenant as well. I'd love to see a cutscene with Arbiter commanding his fleet in the defense of his homeworld.
The stories would have to connect some way, but this sees the most plausible.

maybe there will be some extreme twist. Jorge could even be floating around in half a ship. Living off the covenant corpses. LOL
-
Maybe but who needs him when you have the chief
-
I doubt it. Although I do believe we will be seeing more of Blue Team, Team Katana, and Dr. Halsey.
-
I think that would be great. At least in the ending or something.

And besides, the position of Arbiter was one amongst the Elites from before they ever met the Covenant, the role only took on more meanings and some different ones. Like as indicated by the Duel, it was originally one of extreme honor, until Fal was killed, then it became a position of shame where one would regain their honor through suicidal tasks or other tasks of great importance to the Covenant.

He is on vacation. Living the life with his friends.

But he is still considered Arbiter in H3...
Untrue. Arbiter originates as a rank on Sangheilios, it only became integrated into the Covenant when Fal was killed.
Rtas refers to him as the Arbiter on more than one occasion during Halo 3, even though they are no longer part of the Covenant. Even when the war was over. I think that's what he's getting at.
-
As much as I love the Arbiter, I hope he will not be. And if he is, it should be like BK said.

Would be cool, but I doubt it, remember that he thinks that he chief is dead. Maybe other spartans...
Posted by: SGT Warchild117 Hes not as bad butt as spartan 117 but heay be the one to bring him back to earth
You're on an online forum where you're parents aren't watching you - you're allowed to curse you know. OT - it'd be cool to get a nod to arby later in the trilogy, but I think 4 should focus on Chief's story unless 343 really has some rich plotline on their hands already. Not true arby is bad butt as you say

I'd love to see Arby again.

I could see a path they go down where he returns in Halo 5. But not in Halo 4, no.
-
There's a big possibility. Personally, he should make an appearance rather than the Spartans in the novels, because the games and novels are completely separate, and shouldn't be hastily clashed together unless everything was explained like why there are suddenly Spartans with you. (this coming from someone who doesn't read the novels)

Well I think as it is a new trilogy set in the Halo universe that the only recurring characters will be Chief and Cortana
