nobody has actually said that 6 was "confirmed" KIA/MIA
as you see in the cutscene the last elite zealot is left handed preferrably the Arbiter of that time
yes ur probably saying well they werent friends at the time well it couldve been halo 2s heretic and the elite stabbing at 6s throat couldve missed cuasing the arbiter to be able to save 6 and get him out of there but he leaves his helmet because he may wouldve been shot on sight by other elites/enemies
also there is no trace of his body so he couldve lived or couldve died.
i say he lives because of no actual proof of the body which means he most likely lived and got off reach
OR
Jun couldve came back and saved six from the elites after the cutscene ends still another possibility.
if your saying well he left reach with halsey well no one said he was dropped off and let halsey go and he told her he couldnt find him but he actually did and probably was reassigned as a trooper or spartan I or II.
also the arbiter and jun couldve worked together and saved six from any remaining elites.
what do you have to say about that bungie/forum members?

i have had to watch that last scuffle about 100 times you cant see much anything because the elite thats in the way you you can noble 6 rolling around on the ground as if he is dogding the sword. the first sword strike is by the gold who is killed. once he is knocked to the ground he is rushed by the white which he kickes off stumbling back bumping the helmet. thats when the zelot trys to stab him and 6 kicks the sword out of his hand. the white then rushes a again as leaps on 6 you see him start to roll to the side and the white shield pops as 6 elbows him in the head. a foot is in front of the camra as he elbows. you see the zelot ready his dagger and the scene switches to the shot helmet.
