noble six was not actually confirmed KIA

nobody has actually said that 6 was "confirmed" KIA/MIA
as you see in the cutscene the last elite zealot is left handed preferrably the Arbiter of that time
yes ur probably saying well they werent friends at the time well it couldve been halo 2s heretic and the elite stabbing at 6s throat couldve missed cuasing the arbiter to be able to save 6 and get him out of there but he leaves his helmet because he may wouldve been shot on sight by other elites/enemies
also there is no trace of his body so he couldve lived or couldve died.
i say he lives because of no actual proof of the body which means he most likely lived and got off reach
OR
Jun couldve came back and saved six from the elites after the cutscene ends still another possibility.
if your saying well he left reach with halsey well no one said he was dropped off and let halsey go and he told her he couldnt find him but he actually did and probably was reassigned as a trooper or spartan I or II.
also the arbiter and jun couldve worked together and saved six from any remaining elites.
what do you have to say about that bungie/forum members?

@ OP: I agree, this is possible, but the way it ends is with an Elite about to ram an energy knife into Noble 6. That leads us to believe he is dead, but does not prove it. It's like suspense in a movie or in a good book. SO there is a chance, but the audience is lead to believe otherwise.

People are actually discussing this? Halsey herself says in the final cutscene that "[i]Our victory was so close that I wish you could have lived to see it[/i]" and also "[i]But you belong to Reach, your body, your armor- all burned and turned to glass.[/i]"

I think that it's extremely likely he is dead. Otherwise the entire plot device of him sacrificing himself to save the galaxy would not be there, and would thus be pointless. Also, like many things I think Bungie enjoys to leave it up to the player what happens, which is why Halo 3 ended with Chief drifting toward a planet, which could be anything, but is now unfortunately perverted by 343 Industries. Similarly, Reach ends with Noble Six facing certain death, but it is never shown, once again leaving the player to decide Six's fate. Also all Spartans are listed as MIA so in reality this entire thread is pointless speculation, and somehow it's now about The Rookie. [Edited on 07.03.2011 8:44 AM PDT]

If you read the Fall of Reach there is a point when Chief, yes Chief a spartan II, gets in a fight with an elite and barely survives. Honestly OP, i loved six's story and how bungie made you feel attached to him/her and noble team. The bond you develop with jorge and the pain of watching him "die" in the final cut. But i've enever really taken to this whole arby theory which is still yet to be proven 100% true and even so why would he be saved when he just kicked a handfull of elites butts single handedly? The Rookie could actually be related to Six for all we know. Some Spartans were practically confirmed to have siblings that were not abducted. It is plausible that the Rookie could be Six's brother and Six could be Rookie's brother or sister depending on preference. Since we have no proof of this being true we can not say it is true. WE CAN HOWEVER BE SURE THAT SIX IS DEAD!
