DMR vs Needle Rifle

With full shields: DMR can kill in 5 shots. VS Needle Rifle can kill in 7 shots. =DMR WIN! Once shield is down: DMR and Needle Rifle kill in 3 shots (although Needle Rifle gets the cool supercombine explosion, but that doesn't matter). =TIE! Rate of fire: =NEEDLE RIFLE WIN! Clip size(equal to 3 kills each before reload): DMR = 15 VS Needle Rifle = 21 =TIE! Bloom: DMR is pretty bad with this VS Needle Rifle not as bad =NEEDLE RIFLE WIN! So... is this balanced? Please discuss. In my opinion the DMR wins overall because of needing a full 2 shots less for the kill, but that's me. If you actually prefer the needle rifle, why?

 • You forgot this: Range: DMR has farther range due to the 3x scope. NR has a 2x =DMR WIN! So it's a tie between both weapons. :)

 •
Posted by: goWITHtheJOEFLO If you're playing games with a team and you can have actual set ups and strategies to where you will always be in a 2v1 situation then the NR is better because you will be able to team shot faster but if you rely more on individual skill then team work use the dmr because youre more likely to out dmr a person with the NR imo. i'm pretty much talking in the mlg sense here people because i know that not a lot of people have heard of set ups or strats
Well aside from your failure to hide your MLG pride, I think you are right, except that 2 people with DMRs team shooting one guy is gonna -blam!- the poor bastard just as fast as team needle rifling!

 • The DMR wins in most situations, and you got that thing wrong ^^^ 2 DMR shots on an unshielded enemy do more damage than 2 NR shots, in case you miss the supercombine, you do more damage with the DMR.

 •
Posted by: orionsticks
Posted by: WFO x SnakeEyes I prefer the NR because it's more consistent.
You mean with bloom? Yeah, I can see that. But if you're playing an even somewhat competent player with a DMR, and you have needle rifle, you will almost always lose.
This. The NR is more consistent, but the DMR is better.
