What is the CANON explanation to Sgt. Johnson's Survival?
I've always been curious. First Strike mentions his "Boren's Syndrome" saved him from infection, but I heard that the Halo Graphic Novel was monitored by Bungie in it's creation.
So what is it? Did his condition save him? Or did he escape heroicly?

I like to think that Sgt. Johnson just looked the Flood in the eye and said, "No." but failing that.... From most of the replies in this thread you could gather that it wwas a combination of the Boron Syndrome and other theories, but I'm choosing to go with the most brutally honest answer, opogjijijp's. He states that Bungie and co don't have this part of the story set in stone (or they haven't released the answers) and there are only theories.
