What is the CANON explanation to Sgt. Johnson's Survival?
I've always been curious. First Strike mentions his "Boren's Syndrome" saved him from infection, but I heard that the Halo Graphic Novel was monitored by Bungie in it's creation.
So what is it? Did his condition save him? Or did he escape heroicly?

Because he's black. Lol, just kidding. It probably wouldn't be because of Boren's Syndrome, because in their time period I'm sure that one of their medical professionals would be able to recreate the immunity to the flood from it.
