What is the CANON explanation to Sgt. Johnson's Survival?
I've always been curious. First Strike mentions his "Boren's Syndrome" saved him from infection, but I heard that the Halo Graphic Novel was monitored by Bungie in it's creation.
So what is it? Did his condition save him? Or did he escape heroicly?

Well that's certainly the way I'd [i]prefer[/i] it was played out; him having some condition doesn't seem near as interesting. I do remember the interview where Staten mentioned he didn't like the idea of Boren's Syndrome. The fact that the MGy Sgt in Halo 2 asked Johnson how he survived to have him reply: "Sorry guns, that's classified" made me wonder as well why exactly it would be classified as to how he returned home when Boren's syndrome was a known condition.
