Yesterday, as I was laying Exodus on Ledgendary, I don't know how far into the level it was, but it's after you get off the falcon from escorting the civilian evacuation pelican.
So, you get off and you start walking witht he Marines, and theres wraiths shooting and you and the all of that. You walk, and the map is Beachhead for firefight, and if you go into the building on the map on the side stairs near where the Rocket Hog spawns in fire fight, keep going up and theres two doors, if you go up to them they don't open. But then if you turn around there another door that you can go into.
As you proceed towards the door I always heard like, a loud beep whenever I would get close to there. And when you enter two brute cheiftains come out of one of the doors that wouldn't open before. So I think this has something to do with the room and of it's importantance. I don't know what it does, but theres two radios, a dead marine, a huge red button, and a map.

It's not rendered, so please to patient and I would greatly appreciate it of someone could render it so everyone could see.
So, this is what I found. I don't know what the importantance of it is, but I thought it had to be important since it was guarded by some Brutes who were complete -blam!-s to kill, I mean the one with the fullrod killed me alot.
Discuss this find!

This is funny. Good one.

Well I have to say he put in a great deal of effort to do the mission out of order. I'm sure to button is useless untill the AA's have been activated. You'd think the game would tell you to activate the turrets if you tried to push it fisrt. I have no idea I've never even bothered with the doors. I just jetpack through the window to end the mission and move on.
Posted by: kill12355 op has only completed the campaign on legendary co-op he clearly doesn't even know the story and only done it for the achi's
Sorry, I guess I'm expected to remember the entire -blam!- campaign after 8 months of not playing it.

My friend, The big red button activates the anti air missles that disables the covenant ship hanging overhead. It's part of the campaign. You're suppost to activate it bro. It's your very last objective of the level.

I needed a good laugh today
-
Yeap that was the mission press the BIG RED BUTTON and watch the fireworks destroy the Convette and the Civilian transports fly away.
-
OP Really????????????
-
If you're trolling, you did a successful job.
-
I laughed so hard!
-
No, I've beaten the mission. I just haven't beaten it since the game first came out. I beat it, then i didn't touch it again.
-
Sounds like you never beat that mission before. That button launches the missiles once the AA guns are activated, thus ending the mission.
-
This guy obviously hasn't beaten the mission.
-
are you a NOOB?
-
Oh...well I got excited for nothing...
-
Its the button you use to end the level it activates the AA guns and destroys that ship launching plasma mortars
-
That's the button to activate the missles to end the level. I've seen that many times.
-
I don't know if that's something hidden. From the looks of the background, it looks like an obvious place that maybe a lot of people have already found. EDIT ^^ Yeah. [Edited on 06.24.2011 9:42 AM PDT]

That's the switch you press to end the mission, right?
-
I think that is the button to activate the missile launchers...
-
That's the button that activates the missiles so the civilians can escape
