How is Halsey Georges mom?
I mean he is 41, she looks like shes late 40s or early 50s. So how can she possibly be his mom. You know she is his mom because he calls her mom in a cutscene. And she isnt even sad when George dies, she just obsesses over Cortana, what an awful mom and person.

Well Jorge is a Spartan II is he not? And the others were Spartan III's! Which means he would have worked with her during his training! The others wouldnt! That would relate to this special connection!

They are not related by blood. On the contrary, Jorge was just being sentimental (i believe that's the right word to use), he didn't mean it like that. Probably just a sign of respect coming from him.
