Master Chief - Forerunner or Reclaimer or Half Human Half Forerunner !
What is he exactly ?!??!?!?!? in halo 3 spark says hes forerunner and in halo 2 he says hes reclaimer I AM CONFUSED !

Ugh Forerunners were humanish, reclaimer means he is reclaiming what the forerunners lost and inheriting all they left behind, duh [Edited on 06.09.2011 1:17 PM PDT]

Guilty Spark had become rampant by the time he told MC that he was a forerunner. Just to clarify, Humans and Forerunners are not the same species, the only thing they share is a common origin. They were both created by the Precursors.

He's a human. Guilty Spark's calling him a Forerunner was just a figure of speech. The Forerunners "chose" him as the reclaimer, and so he becomes an honorary Forerunner of sorts. [Edited on 06.09.2011 12:54 PM PDT]

In the new book Cryptum, (idk if its still on cannon but it sounds right) The humans were the only species to have found a way to stop the flood during the forerunner-flood war, but after the forerunners *demoted* the humans for basically not following there religious ways, they wouldnt cooperate with the forerunners. Before the activation of the halo arrays, the forerunners constantly tried to get this information from them. The Monitor(Spark) was created before the halo arrays were fired, and knew about the humans and the flood-cure, thus, calling humans with certain forerunner DNA, "Reclaimers" If im wrong, please dont get all pissy and nasty. The book was a little confusing and this is what it seemed like to me.....

1: This should be in the Universe forum. 2: Master Chief is not "half-Forerunner". For whatever reason, the Forerunners placed the responsiblity of the Mantle of humanity. The end result is their nature as Reclaimers. Humanity is not a descendant race from the Forerunners. Prior to the inital Halo firing they had their own interstellar empire, and were in fact the first to come into contact with the Flood, which ultimately resorted in them declaring war agaisnt the Forerunners and the Flood unsuccessfully and simultaneusly.

i was just thinking ... Forerunners saved every Race in universe cause of Flood and kill them all and put there races back on there planets, but I read somewere that a few Forerunner stayed on their planet because they look alike same features but taller smarter stronger faster, and master chiefs parents are forerunners but BLOOD forerunners not humans that were called " Human Forerunners "
