Do you feel like Forum Ninja's aren't appreciated enough?

It saddens me when I see people hating on ninjas, they have a hard job of keeping forums safe from the trolls. I guess people don't see it that way, and get all buttmad and insult hardworking people who DON'T EVEN GET PAID. Seriously it saddens me Awww :( Do you appreciate ninjas? Do you like them for all the hard work they do?

  • They don't get it right every time, but who could? I do believe that some of em' effed about a bit, but again, who wouldn't? Personally, I think they did and will continue to do a great job for the community. I think they are (the ones who I have seen post anyway) great contributors to this website. :-)

    • There are some that I really hate. Like Recon.

        • Well, Ninjas are needed and most of them if not, all of them are nice. Sure I got banned a lot of times and hated that and often sent hate messages.. But I didn't mean what I said back then in those hate messages. I was just mad because I was banned. But whenever I got banned, I deserved it most of the times. Though some forums moderators may not forgive me for those idiotic hate messages.. :(

          • Actually, I generally think they're appreciated too much. Every ninja post seems to be treated like sacred words of wisdom for no apparent reason. Besides, the hard work you mentioned isn't exactly hard, especially with the site update.

            • So long as you're happy with what your doing, others should be too. What annoys me is how people complain about them behind their back, but then want them to react with a click of a finger when something goes wrong.

            • Nope. I feel that I have no reason to appreciate them.

Thanks man, but seriously, don't worry about it. We have thick skins thanks to years of anger, insults, criticisms, death threats, stolen accounts, and sometimes just blatant stupidity. We definitely perk up, listen, and if needed, change our ways when the opinions of people who matter start to turn negative, but those folks tend to have the tact and intelligence to criticize us in more private settings rather than trying to sway the opinions of others ;-) Oh and by the way, their opinions have generally been positive for a very long time now, too. Fortunately, not much of that matters now anyway. With the new-and-improved self-moderating Bnet, we're around to handle the stuff everybody hates (anonymously, btw) and otherwise, we can feel free to participate in discussions like everybody else. Not only are we no longer "working" as hard, but we're no longer going to have big targets on our backs either (well, no bigger than the targets on anyone else's backs, at least). And if anyone no longer cares to hear what one or all of us have to say, feel free to mute us. THANK YOU WEB TEAM!!! <3

              • The ninjas get different amounts of respect from the different forums (well, when the old forums existed). For example, those who were regulars in the Community generally had a positive view of ninjas. The Flood, on the other hand, usually did not respect the ninjas as much. This could also be due to the fact that the members of the Flood broke the rules a lot more than Community regulars, leading to clashes with the mods. As a whole, though, I don't think people realize how much the ninjas do for us. They are not Bungie employees. They do not get payed.Yet, they volunteer to patrol the forums on their time and make the forums a better place for us. They do this because the love the Bungie community. Give them some respect.
