Seriously... what a loser.
First off, when you play through the game with him, he constantly tries to shotgun snipe enemies, and is TERRIBLE at it. In fact, I do believe he acts as nothing but a distraction to enemies on heroic difficulty and up.
Not to mention his odd obsession with sharp objects... creeps me out. I mean he scratched a skull onto his helmet, why would you do that!? Shouldn't that limit his peripheral vision to almost nothing? I guess that explains his terrible aim?
Now for the real problem I have with Emile... his lame death. Not only did he manage to die from another sharp object, but he also cost Noble 6 his life. What kind of lame spartan dies the way he did!? You've seen the cut scene... The phantom (Which he SHOULD have shot out of the sky in the first place) flies over his head and drops off some elites with swords. He bust out and kills the one in front of him, (taking AGES to aim it directly at its head for some reason even though it is right in front of him) and then says, "WHO'S NEXT!?" Then, another elite comes from behind and stabs him right through his chest. WHY WASN'T HE LOOKING AT HIS DAMNED RADAR!? WAS HE JUST AN INSANE MORON THE ENTIRE TIME!? Honestly... he was so useless. The one COOL thing he managed to do was kill the elite that stabbed him with the kukri he had on his shoulder.
Sigh...
Anyone else thing Emile was probably the most useless spartan of the six? What I'm trying to ask is, WTF IS WRONG WITH EMILE!?
P.s. I didn't like playing through the end of PoA hearing him scream "GONNA MAKE SOME BEANS!" every five seconds. He wasn't a disappointment... he was a douche.

Such a shame you're ranting on a video game A.I and being racist about it too. People These Days... Never Understand anything at all
Posted by: StableCHAOS 117
Posted by: WhiteFang0699 Just admit it. You hate Emile becaise,... He is black.I mean people mainly hate him cause his race. And another reason, you have pointless arguments. Couldn't see other Elite. Zealot was moving slowly and would still die from the other Elites.Another reason, are you stupid. I mean look he has a HUD like the other Spartans so he can see fine.Plus what does shotty snipping has to do with this.He has a shotgun that Bungie only gave him as a weapon. Durp
Is that why emile runs so fast when noble six mentions a VCR in the MAC cannon?
oh snap
-
He has me
-
For those who said he couldn't of possibly fended off the zealot elites... shame on you. He should have shot that thing out of the sky before it reached him and the pelicans. Emile. Is. Stupid.
-
I think Emile is a pretty cool guy. He kills aliens with a shotgun and doesn't afraid of anything.
-
Posted by: Gazas I don't think his death was well done at all, they could've at least made it more fast paced, make him kill 2 or 3 Elites before getting killed and having no time to react.
Posted by: Temphis Jun is the only other character I found interesting, because he is described as a chatter-box, and yet has very little dialogue in game :P go figure.
How is that interesting though? Mostly it annoyed me.
yeah, your right, it was mostly annoying lol. I meant, it was interesting that he was supposed to be talkative, and I couldn't figure out why he wasn't lol.
Posted by: Methew Don't take their in game performance as their canon performance. Bungie leaves the friendly AI pretty stupid so that you are the one playing the game rather than the game playing itself around you. Seriously though? Shotgun sniping is totally a legit tactic.
i had a racing game like this... i think is ws "juice" but basicly it was street racing and you can build up a crew racing with your crew gains them xp making them better the easiest way was to just do the longest track on 10 laps and you get so much easy xp (i don't remember if this game had sligshot catch up on (if you go to far away the ai will magicly turbo ruight up your arse)) and basicly all you then did was let your crew race for you (i think you could bet) and then you've completed the game in no time and have the best cars early on in the game

but he is more pro than you
I agree with you with most of it... sort of. But scratching the helmet is like scratching the tint of a window. He still can see perfectly, but ends up being a worthless person.
Posted by: TechnicalItchRu 1. Carter has a DMR 2. Kat has an Assault Riffle 3. Jun has a Sniper Rifle 4. Jorge has a Machine Gun 5. Only Shotgun left. You can't give Emile explosive weapons, because it will often result player's death. So, there is no other UNSC weapons he can carry.
so true. I got betrayed by Jun : P
Posted by: Methew Seriously though? Shotgun sniping is totally a legit tactic.
it actually works...in Battlefield Bad Company 2
-
Well it said they were going to do some mental tests but he died so yeh... albeit the helmet is pretty bad ass
Posted by: niceboy117 I actually wrote something like this in another thread, he cost six his life because of his carlessness. He would have cleared the area before he double tapped his target.
It was nobodys fault for 6's death/ Keyes told him to fire on the cruiser. The Phantom came out of no where and destroyed a Pelican. Emile couldn't see it because it was too low and if he had shot it, it would have killed Keys, the Pelican crew, and Noble six. Emile couldn't move the Mac cannon in time cause it was too slow.
-
Wait he is terrible at shotgun sniping? I didn't know you could be good at it. Good points though.
-
Yep Bungie slaughtered it. Butchered it up, ate it, disposed of it in a toilet, scooped it up, set it alight and spread the ashes over COD BO in respect because even that terrible game pulled off a better campaign. They did not care in the slightest and were swift to abandon it and its community. The thing that bothers me is why the PoA was then under no immediate threat, so why could they not fly a pelican or falcon down to scoop up 6? Nah, forget that. We have to make it look as if all what you did in the campaign actually meant something.
-
i think every one died in a cool way, even Kat, just because no one had any clue it was coming. but also, Emile had all the classic Badass attributes:no face, intimidating outfit, bigass knife, and went down fighting(taking an Elite with him), also, only -blam!- use ranged weapons :p
-
Posted by: II Cipher Jorge was the only useful team mate. His cannon ripped things to pieces and I used him as cover A LOT in legendary.
Thats why he died first.
-
Idk i think hes the 2nd worst spartan. Kat has an even more lame death, doesnt kill enemies, and kills you with vehicles... oh yeah and she ALWAYS yoinks my assassination... so i dont think emile is the worst
-
The elite was moving too slow to be on his radar if you walk at the slowest pace in halo you dont appear on the motion sensor. Also scratching the skull did not limit his vision he can still see fine considering we can wear it in multiplayer and that does not change our vision considering they are the same helmet that arguement is invalid also the reason he waited to kill that elite in the head was for pure fun he wanted to look into its eyes and end its life that what kind of guy he is and also he did sacrifice himself to stay behind so six could get on the POA also that phantom flew low and then sped up and got above Emile before he could hit it and the mass drivers moves slow as -BlAM!- when we get to use it so its evident he didnt have enough time to aim for it. Plus i still think Jorge is more useless when playing on higher difficulties such as legend or mythic the only way noble team gets any kills is not by shooting, its by mele or throwing grenades and considering Jorge cant do any of those it signifigantly makes emile better from a gameplay perspective. In other words there is nothing wrong with Emile
Posted by: maiboi it just simply amazes how a guy who is super cocky , unreliable , and just not professional made it as a spartan , Seriously , do they hire just about ANYONE to be a spartan? yea yea its a video game , its not real , but it still grinds my gears.
I always wonder why John became a Spartan, what with him getting ambushed all the time.
Posted by: niceboy117 I actually wrote something like this in another thread, he cost six his life because of his carlessness. He would have cleared the area before he double tapped his target.
Elite jumps on Emile is the cramped confines of the Mass Driver. Emile steps out, reloads, and shots the target. He steps up to get better footing and BAM, the other Elite appears. He didn't have much time to react.
Posted by: Dragoonmanly
Posted by: II Cipher
Posted by: Apoquitl Ironic, isn't it? The Spartan II's are supposed to have little to no personality, yet Jorge has more personality than the rest of Noble Team put together. . .
I think that's who Jorge is as a person, not as Spartan. I think he chooses to be as open as he is, he wanted to be more human to help him fight harder. He had a true reason to fight. Unlike narrow minded John-117.
Unfortunately that theory fails... Master Chief = alive. Jorge = dead.
In Halo you never got the feeling John actually cared about anything. Apart from his SPARTANS in the books, but I'm on about the games here.
