Credit Reset Disputes - 5/24/2011
Good afternoon,
We have executed a round of Credit Resets for accounts which have habitually exhibited idling or "AFK" behavior while playing in Firefight Matchmaking. If you believe your ban was a false positive, you can post a request for investigation.
[b]Only request an investigation if you are absolutely sure that your ban was a false positive, if we take the time to investigate your account and find that you do have idling or "AFK" behavior, we will place an extended Credit Ban on your account.[/b]
Do not use this thread for any other discussion. If you are not requesting an investigation of your Credit Reset from 5/24/2011, do not post in this thread.

[/quote] There was info in a weekly update, on the home page for quite some time, and I recall there was a pop-up in game when it was announced that you could get banned for it. This was about 3 months ago.

I do not believe I have done anything to warrant the ban. I hae only AFKed one game of firefight about a month a go but that was because I had to go look after my nephew mid game whilst my sister was washing up. I didn't want to get banned btw. I would like my accout "iDempy" investigated as I believe I've done nothing wrong.

I would like an investigation into my account. I haven't afk'd in any matches ever since I was temporarily banned for being AFK. Since then I have learned my lesson and haven't done so. I have horrible internet which disconnects me whenever it feels like making online play difficult at times. I noticed in my Firefight history that I have a few DNF games which all seem to be the one's I was disconnected from. Could you please look into this and tell me if I deserve this?

I don't think Bungie is worried players who AFKed are going to quit Halo, they weren't even playing anyway.

Is this ban for AFK or for leaving a game early DNF. I will admit that I have left games on many occasions for good reasons. If I am correct when I leave a game early I do not obtain any credits I may have earned. If this is the case then it is not fair to reset credit that I earned fairly.

We contributed to that "population counter" Most of us are just going to do something else now. There's no motivation for any of us to play anymore so yeah. Thumbs up Bungie :)

Suffice to say, if I'm not reset by the morning, I'd be about 90% sure I won't ever play Halo again, which is pretty -blam!- sad considering I played Halo 2 on average 8 hours a day because I was sick in Hospital, and have played every Halo since as an avid fan of the series. Edit: Or are you taking the easy option and only replying to the people who OBVIOUSLY did something wrong, and not the people who have been banned for some sort of misunderstanding? Seems that way.
