Credit Reset Disputes - 5/24/2011
Good afternoon,
We have executed a round of Credit Resets for accounts which have habitually exhibited idling or "AFK" behavior while playing in Firefight Matchmaking. If you believe your ban was a false positive, you can post a request for investigation.
[b]Only request an investigation if you are absolutely sure that your ban was a false positive, if we take the time to investigate your account and find that you do have idling or "AFK" behavior, we will place an extended Credit Ban on your account.[/b]
Do not use this thread for any other discussion. If you are not requesting an investigation of your Credit Reset from 5/24/2011, do not post in this thread.

i have been been credit banned today and my rank reset i recently AFK on the 13 of may and was rightly punished by a 24 hour ban but since then i have done nothing wrong so y the ban please investigate

Out of interest, how far back does the investigation into the player history go? I'm sure that quite a large percentage of Reach players have at least tried AFKing at some point, even if they didn't do it habitually. People are naturally curious, and it seems a little harsh to punish people for AFKing several months ago, for example, especially if they've since relented and haven't offended since. I freely admit I don't know how the Banhammer/puppy works, but...

I'm gonna leave this here in one more instance in case it was looked over. Those games you posted I was punished for already, and I don't think it's fair to dole out another ban on top of a reset for something in March/April. I agree. This is just pushing people away. If I get restored I'd play again. If not, I'll just go away and spend my money elsewhere. I just can't get over how Bungie creates the environment for this then punishes people for their lack of insight. If you'd not let people earn credits for sitting around, it wouldn't have happened. But you allow it then punish people for it? How does that make sense?

Go in with a party. It's easily avoided with a turbo controller.

And even then, I was ALREADY given a ban for these. I learned my lesson but those very games seem to warrant yet [u]another ban on top of a reset.. :([/u]

If a player AFKd experimentally several months ago, he might object to his reset (and thus obtain a credit ban) because, as far as he can remember, he hasn't offended the rules. And punishing someone for that seems wrong.

The people who go AFK knows that its not the right thing to do, they know their suppose to play the game but they don't. You can't blame bungie for the communites "lack of insight". Your playing a game, so play it, don't just sit there and earn credits.
