Seriously, there is no reason, if Miranda Keyes can dual wield a Pistol and a Shotgun, then an ODST, and certainly Master Chief, can as well.

Well seeing as how dual wielding completely guts the weapons sandbox, I am glad bungie took the more realistic approach. Miranda should not have been able to dual wield (she didn't dual wield the shotgun, it would have blown her arms out of their sockets, she just held two at the same time), it's not realistic. Her, and the ODSTs, not being able to dual wield is realistic. Seriously, you try dual wielding two MP5s and keeping them steady. Or better yet, a .50 cal DEagle. Since there's no more dual wielding, the formerly dual wielded weapons can now have their strength increased (like the H3 Needler's) so they're no longer worthless past melee range. Remember that time you got a midrange plasma rifle kill? No? That's probably because you never played Halo 1.
