Is it a sin for Catholics to listen to Slayer?
Hi I am in a Catholic family that goes to Church every Sunday. I believe in Jesus but since I am 17, Church bores me. I do not believe it is necessary for me to go to Church anyway....
I just discovered how cool Slayer is but the lyrics disturb me. It goes agaisnt all Catholic values but to me the music is great.
So Flood, is it a sin to listen to Slayer?

If listening to Rebecca Black and Justin Beiber isn't a sin, then Slayer sure as hell isn't. By the way, if you like Slayer, check out Pantera. You might dig them too. Speaking of dig, Mudvayne is another great metal band. Listen to their old stuff though. P.S. I wouldn't play Mudvayne's "Determined" around your parents...
