Bungie Aerospace is now a corporation TRADEMARK UPDATE: 5/11 Crimson

Please favorite this thread for updates! UPDATE: A new Gamespot article is up about Destiny. Note: For moderately related info on the new IP's plot, check this out. Today, this: (SORRY. This link will get split when posted, and I can't do anything about it, go through the HBO link) https://fortress.wa.gov/dol/dolprod/bpdLicenseQuery/lqsLicenseDetail.aspx?RefID=672307 was posted on HBO. What do you guys think of Aerospace now? It doesn't seem to be a new game, but instead a branch of Bungie or maybe even a platform like Steam community. • Perhaps this is an elaborate scheme to take our attention off of something far more sinister. Like some kind of decoy, to keep us occupied.

 • New stuff about "Destiny" Hey guys rumors talking now about 4 factions in the hypotetical MMO ! that sound pretty intersting, even if i'm reticent to this genre (it's not official i admit but it smell MMO regarding this and Beta Survey). And I just found this in Neogaf forums, it seems it's one of the faction's symbol who appear in the game. All these elements made me suppose that there's chance we're close to the "Bungie's secret project" ^^ By the way the tactical approach remind me a little bit of Firefall in case if you don't know it's Red5 studio new game (ex-Blizzard "WOW team") i'm saying this i'm saying nothing...

Even weirder, its by Microsoft, which bungie no longer works with. EDIT: Bungie isnt even making it, CERTAIN AFFINITY is. EVEN WEIRDER, its classified in Australia? EDIT AGAIN, BREAKTHROUGH REACHED! • Nice find! It could be both, a branch of Bungie with their own Steam-like release platform. I know for sure that at least one thing they are working on is an MMO (from sources, not mention the large number of job offerings and people hired), so could this be an interconnected media network in correlation with an MMO? I find it interesting how the tradmark mentions "virtual reality game software". Note: Why don't you link the Gamestop article link in the OP to the actual article instead of a post in the thread with the real link?

 • If this is anything involving an MMO or a large social network site, I will be disappointed.

 • You're thinking of either Covenant or Red Shift.
Posted by: ZayneHumphrey Wasn't Crimson one of the names thrown around to be used for Halo when it was still called monkeynuts/blam!? Or am I thinking of "Covenant" and its ties to 80's Hair Metal bands? Oh, and Destiny's logo looks similar to the Aerospace logo. Somewhat. Curiouser and Curiouser.
• Someone a bit earlier asked if this could be related to an ARG. I definitely would not put it past Bungie to do such a thing. If I may direct the communities collective attention to this person, this person, this place, and not forgetting these, then you may find that all this legal paperwork is nothing compared to what Bungie has done in the past. I still believe that it will be yet another 'New Hawtness' but we'll never really know til later on in the year or maybe even next year.

 • Sorry for the bump, but I wanted to update this thread with a recent Gamespot article. Let's establish this now: The part about the fired contractor is a fabrication. The rest I feel is safe to speculate upon.

 • Realistically, Activision will have some say. After all, this is a partnership and it is Activision's money.
Posted by: Alex the Awesome
Posted by: PaRaHuNTeR I'm disappointed Bungie isn't releasing anything at E3 officially, but I'm also glad they're not rushing headlong into a game with Activision. I feel like Activision publishes games far too quickly with out thorough content, which is unlike Bungie. Might just be pressure from M$ though.
Activision isn't allowed to tell Bungie to "hurry up!". Treyarch and those other companies who are OWNED by Activision, can be told what to do. Bungie develops the game as long as they like, and then gives the final product to Activision to publish. Which they can do as fast or slow as they want... That would be a dumb relationship between companies, but I think Activision and Bungie will make a good team. Activision probably has to do a lot of the campaigning advertisements (Or at least ones that may or may not be in live action, like most games these days). Microsoft pressure? Well, Bungie isn't owned by them anymore...
• Limited Liability Corporation. Actually, it's accurate. LLC is both a corporation and partnership. Bungie is in PARTNERSHIP with Activision. This probably means Bungie isn't liable for certain publishing duties, while Activsion is.
Posted by: cortana 5 The article (I can't look it up, that site isn't loading for me)? Perhaps whoever wrote it was misinformed about Bungie's status. As far as I know, Bungie is a corporation, rather than just an LLC.
Posted by: Cowgoesmoo Why does it refer to Bungie as an LLC?
